Medfield Police Logs: Sept. 6-14

Highlights from Medfield police and fire logs.

Tuesday, Sept. 6:

6:59 a.m.  – Man called from his cell phone to request an officer. He was just in a minor motor vehicle crash on Main Street. Took place in front of Bank of America and there was no personal injury. Officer helped operators exchange paperwork.

10:42 a.m. – Woman from Arnold Drive came into the station and requested to speak with an officer about a case of fraud. Someone has her social security number and has opened an account with Fire Stores. Officer spoke with woman and will do a report.

10:51 a.m. – Nurse called from Dr. Abensohn’s office on Main Street to request the ambulance for a woman who was having chest pains. They would like her taken to the hospital. Ambulance was enroute to Norwood Hospital with patient.

1:15 p.m. – Officer reported he was on his way to the Medfield Police Department to pick up a cruiser and then was headed to Woburn on a SWAT call out for an armed robbery. Sergeant Wilhelmi filled the officer’s shift.

1:44 p.m.  –Man called from his cell phone to request a police officer in the parking lot of Friendly’s Ice Cream at the corner of North Meadows Road and Main Street for a motor vehicle accident. The accident took place on North Meadows Road beside Frinedly’s. Officer Anderson reported very minor damage to the two vehicles.

3:27 p.m.  – Multiple calls regarding a motor vehicle accident with a school bus came into the station. Medfield Police Chief Robert Meaney Jr. was on scene. Officer requested a tow at Millbrook Road and Main Street. No hospital transport necessary. Accident report filed.

3:45 p.m. – Motor vehicle accident reported on North Street with personal injuries. Officer requested a tow and Assured Collision was notified. Highway Department was notified for a struck deer. There was no hospital transport needed.

Wednesday, Sept. 7:

10:32 a.m.  – Caller reported a motor vehicle accident in the Shaw’s parking lot. Officer checked the lot and drivers exchanged information.

12:12 p.m. – Caller reported a motor vehicle may have hit her air conditioning unit attached to the building at Honey’s on North Street. Officer reported damage.

8:27 p.m.  – Caller reported he called Village Pizza to order a pizza and he could not understand the individual who answered the phone. The caller said he asked for the manager and the individual on the phone started swearing at him. He wanted it logged.

Thursday, Sept. 8:

1:26 p.m. – Employee from CVS on Main Street requested the ambulance, which transported patient to Norwood Hospital.

10:24 p.m. – Ambulance reported it would be enroute to Shaw’s on Main Street for a called in medical. Ambulance transported patient to Norwood Hospital.

Friday, Sept. 9:

12:10 a.m. – Officer was out on a car stop on Main Street at Causeway Street. Officer reported he would be transporting one back to the station to make a call for a ride.

10:07 a.m. – Medfield Police received from Dedham Court a warrant of apprehension for a woman in town. Officer was enroute to Dedham with one on a warrant. Dedham Court notified. Medfield Police Chief Robert Meaney Jr. noted this incident was an involuntary medical commitment ordered by court and the name was not released.

11:32 a.m. – Officer reported a dog hit by a motor vehicle on Hartford Street. Dover Police notified.

11:49 a.m.  – Man from Dale Street School reported he had his class outside for a fire drill and a black and yellow convertible drove by three times. Officers reported they knew the driver and there was no problem.

12:52 p.m.  – Manager from Friendly’s on Main Street requesting an officer in regard to a larceny. Officer spoke to the caller.

1:56 p.m.  – Caller requested an ambulance for a man down in the parking lot on Upham Road. Ambulance responded and transported patient to Norwood Hospital.

4:03 p.m. – Woman from Lawrence Circle called to repot the house across from hers was full of smoke and it looked like a stove fire. Woman also reported there was no one home at the time. Officer was clear of scene but Medfield Fire Department stayed.

7:21 p.m.  – Individual called from Wilkens Glen Road to request an officer because she is having a problem with kids fighting. Officer spoke with individual and would file a report.

8:06 p.m.  – Woman from Wilkens Glen Road called back to request officer come back to her apartment. Woman had someone at her front door that was giving her a hard time. Officer requested Sergeant Wilhelmi on scene. Both reported peace was restored and scene was clear.

8:34 p.m. – Woman came into the station from Wilkens Glen Road with her daughter to file a complaint. The nieghbor’s kids had been giving her daughter a bad time and woman would like this to come to an end if possible. “If it takes a complaint, so be it,” she said. An officer and Sergeant Wilhelmi spoke with the woman and her daughter. There was no problem at this time.

Saturday, Sept. 10:

11:35 a.m. – Man called from Lacoupe Unique Company on Main Street to report a motor vehicle crash with no personal injury in front of the building. Officer requested tow truck for vehicle.

12 p.m. – Officer reported from Medfield Transfer Station that a man from Oak Street lost his wallet.

12:07 p.m. – Man from Medfield came into the station to report there is a five-gallon gas can spilling in the road on North Street in the area of Pine Street. There was no one around it. Desk officer notified EMT and he reported he would take care of it.

3:06 p.m. – Man from Spring Street in Millis came into the station and requested to speak with an officer. The man owns property on Pine Street and someone was on his property and dug a large hole in his backyard and filled it back in. Officer spoke with man and looked at his property. Photos were taken and a report was filed.

5:50 p.m. – Woman from Green Street called and requested to speak with an officer about an older woman on Lowell Mason Road, who was screaming at the woman on Green Street’s daughter and her friend about the dog the two girls were walking. The dog made “a small mess” on the woman from Lowell Mason Road’s lawn and the girls did not have a bag to pick it up. The woman from Green Street’s daughter picked up the mess with her hand and started walking away but the woman kept following the two girls in her car to the end of Meade Avenue, still screaming at them. Officer spoke to all parties and peace was restored.

7:22 p.m. – Woman from Wilkens Glen Road called to request the police. Woman is having a problem with her neighbor again. Sergeant Burgess and officer spoke with all parties and reported they were clear of the scene. Peace had been restored.

11:13 p.m. – Man from North Street called to report he had a low hanging wire in his driveway and while his son was walking up the driveway the wire conducted electricity to him. No transport to hospital was needed.

Sunday, Sept. 11:

12:04 a.m. – Woman from Hale Place called to report a loud party coming from the street behind her. Officer notified and reported she spoke to homeowner and will shut off the music and move inside.

12:50 p.m. – Woman called emergency 911 from Lovell’s on Main Street to request the ambulance. A man was having a seizure. Ambulance was enroute to Norwood Hospital with patient.

7:13 p.m. – Individual came into the station with a wallet that was left at Honeys on North Street. Owner was called and a message was left. Officer stopped by the house. At 8:10 p.m., the owner of the wallet was in to pick it up.

Monday, Sept. 12:

8:12 a.m. – Sergeant Burgess was on radar across from 64 North Meadows Rd. Reported no citations.

9:04 a.m. – Sergeant Wilhelmi was on traffic enforcement on Main and Pound Streets and issued one citation.

11:20 a.m. – Officer was on traffic enforcement on Pound Street and issued two citations.

11:34 a.m. – Sergeant Burgess was out on traffic enforcement on Pound Street and issued no citations.

2:25 p.m. – Animal Control officer reported she was just in a minor motor vehicle crash with no personal injury at South and High Streets. Sergeant Wilhelmi and officer Anderson were enroute to scene. All parties were reportedly on their way. Report was filed.

4:50 p.m. – Officer reported he was out on traffic enforcement on Hartford Street and issued no citations.

4:54 p.m. – Officer was out on Main Street and Birch Road on traffic enforcement and issued two citations.

8:07 p.m. – Caller reported he heard what sounded like gunshots in the area of Indian Hill Road. Officer notified. Another call came in on Indian Hill Road about gunshots as well. Officer reported all as quiet upon arrival.

Tuesday, Sept. 13:

7:02 a.m. – Caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Spring Street. Officer requested a tow truck. Officer transported one individual to Grove Street.

7:49 a.m. – Officer was on traffic enforcement on Knollwood Road and reported no citations. Average speed was clocked at 25 mph.

9:36 a.m. – Man came into the station fro Lowell Mason Road and reported a larceny of some ladders. Officer spoke to the man.

1:23 a.m. – Woman from 4Paws reported she had a stray dog at Park Street. Animal Control responded.

6:12 p.m. – Woman came into the station to drop off some keys she found on Noon Hill Road.

7:38 p.m.  – Man from Hillcrest Road called to report two boys in front of his house arguing. Officer notified and reported it was a brother teaching his sister how to ride a bike.

7:45 p.m. – Woman from Green Street called to report a squirrel stuck in her wood stove flue. Animal Control notified and responded and removed squirrel at 9:28 p.m.

8:20 p.m. – Individual from Wilkens Glen Road called to report an argument outside. Officer notified. Caller said a man pushed a woman and got into a blue vehicle and headed towards Main Street. Sergeant Mayer reported vehicle was gone on arrival.

8:57 p.m. – Woman called from Flint Locke Lane to report she thought somebody was in her garage. Officer responded and reported nothing was found.

10:35 p.m. – Medfield Fire Department reported they were enroute to Mansfield with the oxygen trailer because Mansfield had a working fire.

11:38 p.m. – Caller reported a possible domestic in building 8 of Wilkens Glen Road apartments. Officer reported all was quiet.

Wednesday, Sept. 14:

9:15 a.m. – Caller requested an officer to Wilkens Glen Road. She reported her son was out of control. Officer spoke to caller.

9:46 a.m. – Man reported from Curve Street he had a stray dog. Animal Control notified.
