Medfield Police Logs: Oct. 24-29

Highlights from Medfield police and fire logs.

Monday, Oct. 24:

3:05 a.m. – 911 caller reported she would like the ambulance for her husband who was choking on something. She would like the ambulance to check him out. Ambulance was enroute with patient to Norwood Hospital.

6:36 a.m. – Cell caller reported a dead deer on Route 27 in the road near the Sherborn town line on North Meadows Road. Highway Department notified for removal.

8:15 a.m. – EMT called to report they are going to North Street with the ambulance for a party there with chest pains. EMT reported man at the residence is taking his wife to the hospital in his own car.

4:59 p.m. – Woman from Dale Street came into the station to report someone rear-ended her motor vehicle while she was at her child’s soccer game. Witness gave her a plate number. Officer spoke to the woman and viewed the motor vehicle.

5:54 p.m. – Officer issued a summons to a 53-year-old Quincy man for blocking an intersection and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license on Main Street. Assured Collision towing was notified and responded.

6:42 p.m. – Officer issued 20 citations on Main Street while on traffic enforcement detail from 3 to 7 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 25:

1:23 a.m. – Caller reported her daughter hit a deer on Hartford Street. The deer ran off into the woods and minor damage was sustained to the car. The mother told the daughter to drive home and they will check the damage in the morning. Officer checked the area but reported both the deer and the driver were gone on arrival.

8:48 a.m. – Caller from Millbrook Road requested the ambulance for her mother. Ambulance transported patient to LM Hospital.

12:10 p.m. – Woman from Granite Street reported she is receiving threats. Sergeant spoke to the woman.

1:31 p.m. – Caller from Garry Drive requested the ambulance for her father, who has fallen. Ambulance transported patient to Norwood Hospital.

1:32 p.m. – Homeowner requested an officer to Orchard Street in regard to vandalism of a lawn. Officer reported no one was home upon arrival. Desk officer left a message on the answering machine. Officer viewed damage to the lawn.

3:47 p.m. – Caller at Papa Gino’s on Northmeadows Road reported he would like to see an officer for a motor vehicle collision in the parking lot.

3:53 p.m. – Caller reported she thought she had a raccoon under her front porch on Cypress Street. She would like to speak to Animal Control.

7:11 p.m. – Transfer call from State Police Department came in. Woman reported her car was hit on Routes 109 and 27 by a white SUV. Caller did not get a plate number and did not know which way the vehicle went. She was in Roxbury at the time of the call and would stop by the Medfield Police station Wednesday morning to speak to an officer about it. She had damage to the left side of her car.

9:53 p.m. – Man from Green Street came into the station to speak to an officer about a package that was dropped off at his house. He believed it could have to do with charges made to his wife’s credit card. Officer spoke to the man in regards to fraud.

11:54 p.m. – Millis Police requested the Medfield ambulance to Vankleeck Road.

Wednesday, Oct. 26:

5:24 a.m. – Officer issued one citation while on traffic enforcement detail on South Street and Noon Hill Road.

6:43 a.m. – Woman called emergency 911 from Spring Street to request the ambulance. She took too much medicine Tuesday and she still feels dizzy. Ambulance transported patient to Norwood Hospital.

5:42 p.m. – Caller from Miller Street reported between 3 and 5 p.m. cars speed down the street. She would like an officer to do radar between those hours. She reported a car had just come down the street at a high rate of speed and gave the desk officer the license plate number.

Thursday, Oct. 27:

8:14 a.m. – Woman from Tamarack Road came into the station and requested to speak to an officer about some annoying phone calls she had been receiving.

12 p.m. – Man called emergency 911 from Tilden Village on Pound Street to request the ambulance for a woman who had fallen and cut her knee. EMT responded and reported no transport necessary.

12:44 p.m. – Officer arrested a 31-year-old Milford man on charges of unsafe operation of a motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after being pulled over on Main Street.

2:39 p.m. – Man from Saw Mill Lane came into the station to report someone just hit his vehicle at Harding Street and Hospital Road and drove off in a Jeep Cherokee. Officer viewed the damage.

6:33 p.m. – Woman called from the Goddard School on North Meadows Road to request the ambulance for a female party with a bad nose bleed. Ambulance transported woman to LM Hospital.

11:46 p.m. – Woman from Hawthorne Drive called emergency 911 to report she heard three gunshots in the area of Green Street. Officer notified and reported nothing was found after checking the area.

Friday, Oct. 28:

2:43 a.m. – Man called emergency 911 to report a black Ford Mustang threw a beer bottle out his window and smashed his windshield. Officer notified.

7:28 a.m. – Man called from his cell phone to request an officer for a motor vehicle crash with no personal injury on Main Street. Assured Collision also notified for two-car crash.

8:05 a.m. – Desk officer from the Sherborn Police Department called to report a motorist called him about a motor vehicle crash on North Meadows Road by or on the bridge by the Sherborn town line. Officer checked area with no luck of finding motor vehicles.

4:33 p.m. – Hopkinton resident came into the station and requested to speak to an officer about a case of fraud. The case is between the individual and Rockland Trust here in Medfield. Officer spoke to individual and filed a report.

5:46 p.m. – Woman reported a fender bender on Main Street. She and the other operator got out and didn’t appear to be any damage to either vehicle. When she got home she found a dent in the back. She said the vehicle was a tan Ford.

6:35 p.m. – Man from Stoney Brook Drive, Millis came into the station to report an older woman’s car at the stop sign at North and Harding Streets rolled back and hit the front of his car. Man got out and spoke with the woman, who then after speaking with him, drove away down North Street. Officer spoke to the man.

6:55 p.m. – Man from Frairy Street called to request the Animal Control officer. He had a stray cat to be removed. Animal Control notified.

Saturday, Oct. 29:

12:09 a.m. – Officer reported tree down at West Street.

1:13 a.m. – Man from Pine Grove Road called to report he and his girlfriend had an argument and she took his cell phone and left. She went to stay with a friend for the night on North Street. Officer called and told her to meet her out front with the cell phone. Officer got the cell phone and told the man he could pick it up in the morning.

2:57 a.m. – Medway Police called to report unknown male called to report a party on Adams Street in Medfield smashed a beer bottle in front of his house. Officer notified and reported nothing found.

2:11 p.m. – Officer turned in the unused drugs from residents of Medfield that turned them into the Medfield Police Station. Officer dropped them off at the Walpole Police Department.

7:08 p.m. – Caller from the Hunt Club on North Street reported a tree down across the road. Tree was removed by Ed Hinkley.

8:08 p.m. – Caller reported a car off the road on Main Street. Officer reported no personal injury and two needed to pull the car out. Assured Collision towing notified. Officer requested the Highway Department be informed the roads are getting slick.

9:23 p.m. – Caller reported a large branch down on North Street. Officer requested Tree Department. Call also came in for Nebo Street with a limb down.

10:02 p.m. – Officer removed a small tree from Main Street.

10:34 p.m. – Caller reported a large limb down at the railroad tracks on West Street.

11:01 p.m. – Tree fire reported from caller on Hillcrest Road. Box alarm sounded and Fire Department responded.

11:06 p.m. – Caller reported tree down and blocking Causeway Street.

11:11 p.m. – Caller reported tree down on Brook Street.

11:14 p.m. – Caller reported shoplifting at Seven Eleven in Walpole.

11:15 p.m. – Caller reported suspicious activity at CVS on Main Street. Man looking in the windows. Officer responded but reported gone on arrival.

11:16 p.m. – Caller reported tree down on Cedar Lane.

11:18 p.m. – Caller reported tree and wires down on North and Farm Streets.

11:29 p.m. – Caller reported a tree fire on Hillcrest Road. Box alarm struck and Fire Department responded.

11:29 p.m. – Caller reported tree down at Cheney Pond Road and Main Street.

11:35 p.m. – Many calls received about a large tree down on Garry and High Streets.

11:37 p.m. – Motor vehicle accident reported on High and Garry Streets. Assured Collision towing responded.

11:39 p.m. – Officer reported from a resident on Orchard Street a tree down across the road.
