Medfield Police Logs: Oct. 19-24

Highlights from Medfield police and fire logs.

Wednesday, Oct. 19:

8:38 a.m. – Caller from Green Street reported someone is putting nails and screws in his car tires. Officer spoke to the caller and caller reported he found nails and screws in the driveway when he came out in the morning.

10:10 a.m. – Caller requesting the Animal Control officer for assistance on Forest Road.

7:19 p.m. – Caller reported two coyotes running around Medfield Gardens on Pleasant Street. Animal Control notified. Officer said he would assist in checking the area.

Thursday, Oct. 20:

7:53 a.m. – Medfield Fire Department reported they are responding to Hale Place for an ambulance run. Ambulance was enroute to LM Hospital.

8:21 a.m. – Dover Police called requesting assistance. There was a motor vehicle in the mud at the field of Dover-Sherborn High School on Farm Street. The motor vehicle reportedly had copper wire in the trunk that may have been taken from Medfield State Hospital. Hospital security notified. Officers checked the area for a white truck with frontend damage. That motor vehicle was reportedly seen earlier in the day.

9:55 a.m. – Officer reported he was notified by a walk-in report of damage to a stonewall on South Street.

11:13 a.m. – Individual walked into the station to speak with an officer about vandalism to a motor vehicle on Sanders Way. Officer viewed the damage.

11:20 a.m. – Caller reported she had a stray dog in her yard on Nebo Street. Animal Control officer notified.

12:35 p.m. – Caller requested an officer for a disturbance at Village Pizza on Green Street. Officer reported all was in order.

1:52 p.m. – Caller reported a dog on the side of the road on Hospital Road. Animal Control officer notified and reported dog was OK and belongs to a resident there.

2:12 p.m. – Employee at the library requested the Fire Department for a smell of burning wires. Alarm box struck. Building was checked.

3:05 p.m. – Officer reported he was on traffic in control in the center of town. Officer reported he issued 14 citations.

3:53 p.m. – Shaw’s employee called about a shoplifter. The employee said the store found some of the items but the woman took off in a red car towards Westwood. Desk officer notified Westwood and Dover Police. Medfield officer enroute to Shaw’s. Report was filed.

4:12 p.m. – Three to four 911 calls about a car fire on Route 109 in front of Shaw’s came into the station. Box alarm struck. Officer reported there was no fire at time of arrival. Assured Collision towing was enroute to the scene.

4:39 p.m. – Individual came into the station from Miller Street to speak to an officer about a problem with another individual yelling at her. Sergeant spoke to the woman and filed a report on the incident.

7:11 p.m. – Caller reported they have a subject with heat pains. Ambulance notified and was enroute to Natick with patient.

Friday, Oct. 21:

7:54 a.m. – Officer reported he issued one citation while on traffic enforcement detail on Knollwood Road.

9:07 a.m. – Officer reported he issued two citations while on traffic enforcement detail on Deerfield Drive.

10:16 a.m. – A 31-year-old Hingham resident was issued a summons on charges of operating after suspension of registration and uninsured motor vehicle after a motor vehicle stop on Route 109 Main Street near the Millis town line.

12:05 p.m. – Man from Blacksmith Drive called to report a truck went by his house and took down an overhead wire. EMT reported the wire is a Comcast wire on pole no. 15. Desk officer notified Comcast Cable.

2:37 p.m. – Individual from Philip Street called to request the Animal Control officer for a black dog that needs to be picked up. There was also a black lab running up and down Philip Street. Animal Control picked up both dogs and took them home on Philip Street.

3:35 p.m. – Man from North Street called to request the ambulance for his wife, 80, who had passed out. EMT requested the paramedics on scene. Desk officer had no luck with paramedics or events paramedics or Westwood paramedics. EMT requested Westwood be notified again. Westwood enroute from Norwood Hospital. Ambulance was enroute to Norwood Hospital with patient at 3:52 p.m.

6:51 p.m. – Man from Uxbridge called to report his wife just hit a deer in the area of North and School Streets. She had some damage to her vehicle. Sergeant reported minor damage to her vehicle and the deer is dead. The deer was off the road by 223 North St. Medfield Highway Department would be called in the morning for pickup.

7:56 p.m. – Woman from Miller Street called to report she and some of her friends will be filming inside a car and outside in the areas of Main Street, North Street and Miller Street between 9:30 p.m. and 2 a.m. Medfield Chief of Police Robert E. Meaney Jr. gave them the OK.

8:07 p.m. – Woman from Cranmore Road called from her cell phone in her bedroom to request two police officers. Woman is having a problem with her father and mother. Officers responded and spoke with the parents and their daughter. Peace was restored.

Saturday, Oct. 22:

9:42 a.m. – Woman called from her cell phone to request an officer in the parking lot of the North Street Market on North Street. One party opened their car door and made a dent in the next car that was parked beside it. Officer spoke with the two and helped them with their paperwork.

1:19 p.m. – Man from Spring Street called from his cell phone on Philip Street requesting an officer. He would like an officer assist him in picking up his laptop computer from a residence on Philip Street. Woman at the address will not give the laptop back to him. Sergeant spoke with both parties. Sergeant will file a report and told the man not to go to the house or be in the area of the house or of the woman.

3:19 p.m. – Individual called 911 from Main Street to request the ambulance for an individual who is having chest pains and had been vomiting for some time. Desk officer notified events paramedics and they were enroute from Framingham Hospital. EMT requested Westwood paramedics respond. Ambulance transported patient to Norwood Hospital.

5:10 p.m. – 30-year-old Millis man was issued a summons on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license after being pulled over by a Medfield officer on Hartford Street.

6:34 p.m. – Officer issued one citation while out on traffic enforcement detail on West Street at Bridge Street.

Sunday, Oct. 23:

12:41 a.m. – Received a call from an assist getting a party up at Garry Drive. Ambulance notified and responded along with the sector car.

10:24 a.m. – Cell caller reported he was enroute to the station. He needed to be transported to the hospital. Ambulance transported man to Newton Wellesley Hospital.

11:33 a.m. – Woman came into the station to speak with an officer about getting her 28-year-old son out of the house. Report was filed.

12:20 p.m. – Caller reported her husband saw a wolf in their backyard on Donnelly Drive. She would like to speak to Animal Control about this.

Monday, Oct. 24:

3:05 a.m. – 911 caller reported she would like the ambulance for her husband who was choking on something. She would like the ambulance to check him out. Ambulance was enroute with patient to Norwood Hospital.

6:36 a.m. – Cell caller reported a dead deer on Route 27 in the road near the Sherborn town line on North Meadows Road. Highway Department notified for removal.

8:15 a.m. – EMT called to report they are going to North Street with the ambulance for a party there with chest pains. EMT reported man at the residence is taking his wife to the hospital in his own car.
