Medfield Police Logs: Nov. 1-7

Highlights from Medfield police and fire logs.

Tuesday, Nov. 1:

6:57 a.m. – Driver reported a hit deer in the road in Sherborn. Sherborn Police notified.

7:21 a.m. – Caller reported a motor vehicle accident with no personal injury on South Street. Citation issued.

2:45 p.m. – Caller from Winter Street reported a low hanging wire in front of a residence on the street. Desk officer notified Medfield Fire Chief William Kingsbury, who would check on the situation. Kingsbury reported wire is not live and NSTAR was notified. Winter Street was also reported without power.

4:25 p.m. – 911 caller from Indian Hill Road reported she was home alone and a man called the house to say he found their mail in the street and wanted to bring it by. He was at the door and would not leave. The girl said she would not open the door. Officer notified and responded to the house. Officer spoke to the caller, who said it was a neighbor that was at her door to drop off the mail. The officer also spoke to the father and detective spoke to the neighbor. All was reported OK.

6:02 p.m. – Off-duty EMT reported a minor motor vehicle crash on Main Street at Route 27 with no personal injury. Officers notified. One tow truck was requested.

6:45 p.m. – Officer reported he was stopped by a worker from 40 Hospital Rd about a runaway from that address. Officer reported subject was back with the worker at address.

7:27 p.m. – Caller reported her car was hit and the other took off down Route 27 towards Walpole. Desk officer notified Walpole Police. Officer was enroute to speak to caller. The officer reported the other vehicle hit and took off a mirror from the car. Tow truck called to scene.

9:25 p.m. – Ambulance reported they will be going to Lakewood Drive for a called in medical. At 9:30 p.m. ADT called via the fire phone to cancel the ambulance.

Wednesday, Nov. 2:

1:40 a.m. – 911 came into the station with nobody on the line. Desk officer called back to Frairy Street residence. Desk officer spoke to mother who said she was having a problem with her son. She said she would meet police out front of her house. After speaking with officers, mother was enroute to Norwood Hospital to speak to them about an evaluation.

8:18 a.m. – Man from 29 Hospital Rd. called to report a sick raccoon in his backyard. He would like it removed by Animal Control. At 9:10 a.m., Animal Control officer said she shot the raccoon and removed it.

10:58 a.m. – Individual called from Brook Street to request an officer. There was just a minor motor vehicle crash with no personal injury.

11:42 a.m. – Woman called from her cell phone to report a wire down in the street on Snyder Road. Officer reported it was a cable wire.

1:06 p.m. – Woman called from her cell phone to request an officer in the parking lot of Shaw’s Market. Woman was shopping in the store and when she came out she saw her car was damaged.

2:17 p.m. – Woman from Orchard Street called 911 to request the ambulance for her sister, age 89, who had a very high blood pressure. EMT requested events paramedics to respond. Desk officer notified events paramedics. Events paramedics reported they were out at the scene and ambulance was enroute with patient to Glover Hospital.

3:34 p.m. – Woman called from Pleasant Court by emergency 911 to request the ambulance for her husband who had been vomiting all day. Ambulance transported patient to Norwood Hospital.

5:45 p.m. – Individual from Pleasant Street and an individual from Uxbridge came into the station to report a minor accident that took place on North Street and Harding Street involving a motor vehicle and a bike around 4:25 p.m. All parties reportedly “happy” with the outcome and no report was needed.

11:04 p.m. – Woman from Cross Street called to report her husband having difficulty breathing. Ambulance, events and officer notified. Ambulance transported patient to Norwood Hospital.

Thursday, Nov. 3:

7:25 a.m. – Report of smoke in the area of a residence on South Street. Fire Department notified and reported it was a wood stove.

10:46 a.m. – Report of power being out in the Hospital Road area. Officer reported transformer problem. NSTAR notified.

11:31 a.m. – Caller reported low hanging branch across from a residence on Millbrook Road. Message left for tree warden.

11:38 a.m. – 911 request for an apartment on Pound Street for an individual with heart problems. Ambulance notified.

5:10 p.m. – Caller reported a metal frame in the road on Hartford at Main Streets. Officer notified and reported he removed the piece of wood with wire onto the side of the road.

6:26 p.m. – Caller reported he had a large fisher cat in his yard on North Street. Said it was “staring” at him. Animal Control notified.

7:30 p.m. – Individual came into the station to report a 17-year-old male in front of Cumberland Farms on Main Street drinking beer. Officers notified but male was gone on arrival.

Friday, Nov. 4:

5:57 a.m. – Officer was out at Hartford Street for traffic enforcement detail and issued no citations.

8:15 a.m. – Woman from Colonial Road called to request the Animal Control officer for a sick raccoon on her property. Officer removed the raccoon.

9:04 a.m.  – Ken Feeney called from Medfield Town Hall to report he received a call from a bus driver about a “very” large branch in the power lines in front of a residence on Partridge Road.

1:14 p.m. – Individual from Elm Street came into the station to file a report with the Medfield Police Department about a case of ID fraud. Officer filed a report.

1:16 p.m. – Desk officer from the Dover Police Department called to request mutual aid by Medfield ambulance for a party who is having chest pains. Ambulance transported to Framingham Hospital.

2:41 p.m. – Dover Police requested mutual aid fire and ambulance. Box alarm struck for fire department.

3:26 p.m. – Man in the station reported large branch wires, pulling wires down. NSTAR notified.

3:58 p.m. – individual came into the station from Wilkens Glen Road. His motor vehicle had been keyed twice and wanted it noted. Requested an extra drive-by through the night.

4:34 p.m. – Caller reported a raccoon at his door on South Street. Animal Control notified and responded.

9:17 p.m. – Millis requested mutual aid for a pole on fire on Cole Street. Box alarm struck. Medfield returned.

Saturday, Nov. 5:

2:29 a.m. – Caller reported two dogs barking next to Basil’s. Officer notified and reported dogs were taken inside.

12:24 p.m. – Woman from Green Street called emergency 911 to request the police and ambulance for a motor vehicle crash with personal injury in front of her Green Street home. Desk officer received four calls about the same incident. Desk officer notified events paramedics and they were enroute. EMT reported individual had left the scene. Summons was issued for 31-year-old Medfield man from Emerson Road for operating after license or right to operate a motor vehicle had been revoke, leaving accident scene after property damage.

4:28 p.m. – Caller reported dirt bikes in the pit and the Wheelock School. He would like them removed.

Sunday, Nov. 6

12:42 a.m. – Caller reported she heard what sounded like gunshots in the area of West St. near Poupuri lot. Officer notified and found nothing.

8:56 a.m. – Officer reported stop signs on Green and Flint Locke Lane were spray-painted and Highway Department would be contacted Monday.

9:23 a.m. – Caller reported a problem with their 16-year-old on Stuart Street. Second call came in to report the son has left the house. Officer reported he had the son and would return to the house. Officer spoke to all parties.

11:28 a.m. – Man reported a cable wire down across his driveway at Scott Road.

1:37 p.m. – Fire Department requested a box alarm be struck for a smell of smoke in the library. Fire Department reported nothing was found.

4:48 p.m. – Caller reported a brush fire inside the coal bins on Park Street at Oak Street. Box alarm struck. Officer reported fire department is putting out a small fire.

4:53 p.m. – Caller reported she would like the police to help her with her 17-year-old son, who is using drugs in the house on Tallwood Drive

Monday, Nov. 7:

4:25 a.m. – Lifeline reported they would like the ambulance to help the male subject at this residence.

8:14 a.m. – Woman reported an injured deer in her yard at Brook Street.

11:50 a.m. – Caller requested the ambulance for her husband on South Street
