Medfield Police Logs, May 7 – 11

Highlights from daily police and fire logs.

Saturday, May 7:

7:41 a.m. – Woman from North Street called emergency 911 to report a motor vehicle crash in front of her house with minor personal injuries. EMT requested Millis ambulance and Medfield Fire Department on the scene. Fire alarm sounded for the motor vehicle accident. Officer Michelle Bento requested on duty wrecker on scene and Assure Collision was then notified. EMT cancelled the Millis ambulance. Medfield ambulance enroute with patient to LM Hospital. Fire Chief William Kingsbury reported Medfield Fire was clear of scene. At 8:24 a.m. Officer Dana Friend reported all officers were clear from scene. William Soto, 29, of Waltham was issued a summons for unlicensed operation of motor vehicle.

9:20 a.m. – Woman at Tilden Village on Pound Street called emergency 911 to request an ambulance for an individual who was light-headed and would like to be taken to the hospital. Ambulance was enroute to Newton-Wellesley Hospital at 9:38 a.m. with patient.

4:45 p.m. – Robert D Bond Jr. called the station from his cell phone to report the Boy Scouts would be staying over night on the island on stop river and there will be three to four cars parked over night in the sand pits off of Noon Hill Road by South Street.

8:27 p.m. – Officer Wayne Sallale reported he removed a car from the parking lot of Rocky Woods off of Hartford Street.

11:02 p.m. – Individual from South Street called to report a lot of noise at a South Street home. Officer notified and Christine DiNatale reported she spoke to the home owner and they will keep it down. The officer reported she heard nothing when she pulled up.

Sunday, May 8:

10:10 a.m. – Caller reported they have a Yorkshire Terrier that was running around the parking lot at Metacomet Park. Desk officer notified on call Animal Control Officer and she would handle. At 10:48 a.m. Animal Control Officer had the dog and reported she will be taking it to the Medfield Animal Shelter.

11:37 a.m. – Caller from Joire Lane reported she had a Grey Hound dog that she found in her yard. She called Walpole Police about this and reported if anybody calls let them know she has the dog in her garage. At 12:19 p.m. the owner of this dog called the station to report the dog missing. Desk officer gave the number of the woman holding the dog and the owner said she would call.

2:17 p.m. – Caller on Plain Street reported the sheep were out at the Sheep Pen. Animal Control Officer notified and she would notify the 4-H Club.

8:43 p.m. – 911 caller reported his daughter was having an allergic reaction to tree nuts. Ambulance responded and transported patient to Norwood Hospital.

Monday, May 9:

4:02 p.m. – Officer Flaherty was on radar at Harding Street.

4:16 p.m. – Caller requested the ambulance for his daughter at Pleasant Street in Medfield. Patient was transported to Norwood Hospital.

4:29 p.m. – Officer James O’Neil on traffic radar at Main and Pound Streets. Issues 3 written and one verbal warnings.

6:55 p.m. – Multiple calls regarding a motor vehicle accident on Orchard Street. Car rolled over and operator sustained personal injury and was removed to the Norwood Hospital, transferred by ambulance.

8:38 p.m. – Officer out with a group of youths on Main Street near Middlesex Savings Bank. Boy had a cart from CVS. Officer will be returning the cart.

11:47 p.m. – Officer Daniel Pellegrini was out with two cars at the Medfield High School parking lot. Two were placed under arrest and were each arrested and charged with possession of liquor under 21 years old. At 1:45 a.m. Bail Comm. Bob Quinn was in the station to bail the two out. UPDATE (Jan. 10, 2012): The names from this incident were removed after the case was dismissed in court, according to Medfield attorney Conrad Bletzer.

Tuesday, May 10:

7:18 a.m. – Woman from Foundry Street reported some time during the night someone took her Flyers’ flag and wanted it noted. She would also like some radar run as trucks are speeding off Philip Street from the construction site.

9:57 a.m. – Caller from Pleasant Street requested ambulance for neighbor. Patient was transported to Natick.

11:30 a.m. – Man walked in the station to speak with officer Wayne Sallale regarding damage to his motor vehicle.

11:40 a.m. – Medfield Police received from Dedham District Court a 209A extension for woman at Tallwood Drive. Order extended for one year and was placed into files.

1:51 p.m. – Man from Kenney Road reported he was just bitten several times on the leg by a raccoon. Animal Control notified.

2:14 p.m. – Man on Flint Locke Lane reported a raccoon went after his dog and the raccoon went up a tree. Animal Control notified.

2:21 p.m. – Caller reported from Charlesdale Road there was a fox watching her. Animal Control reported the fox has a den and a cub in that area.

2:25 p.m. – Caller from Green Street reported some one in orange in the rear of his land was shooting. Animal Control reported she shot the raccoon and will have the animal tested.

2:43 p.m. – Medfield Police received from Wrentham District Court a 209A extension for woman at West Street. Order now expires on May 24, 2011 at 4 p.m.

3:32 p.m. – Subject into the station to report a larceny at Partridge Road. Incident report filed.

5:50 p.m. – Individual reported threats from Wilkens Glen Road and an emergency 209A was sought. At 7 p.m. Officer Sallale spoke to the on call judge, who issued the order and officer Sallale faxed a copy to Brockton Police.

6:30 p.m. – Subject into the station to report somebody was removing her rocks from the wall in front of her house on Main Street. She had no idea who it might be and was going to check with her neighbors.

Wednesday, May 11:

3:52 a.m.  –Millis Police called to request ambulance to Heritage Path for a 54-year-ld male with low blood sugar.

8:20 a.m. – 911 caller from Tilden Villae on Pound Street reported a woman fell and needed medical attention. Woman was conscious and alert. Ambualnce transported patient to Needham.

8:27 a.m. – Rocky Woods ranger reported several bags of empty beer cans were dumped in the parking lot over the weekend. Requested extra checks to the area.

8:53 a.m. – Caller reported a possible hurt owl on her front steps at Marlyn Road. Animal Control notified.

10:19 a.m. – Building manager from 9 Upham Rd. Apartments reported he found a Visa credit card in the parking lot of 9 Upham Rd. The credit card did not match the names of any of their residents. Bank of America card services notified and will contact the owner.
