Medfield Police Logs: May 31 to June 2

Highlights from Medfield police and fire logs.

Tuesday, May 31:

6:32 a.m. – Caller requested an ambulance to her father’s house, who was not feeling well and wanted to go to B.I.D. Hospital in Needham.

8:41 a.m. – Officer Wayne Sallale reported he was out wit ha motor vehicle stop on Spring Street by St. Edward’s Church and requested on duty wrecker for towing.  A 26-year-old Framingham resident was issued a summons for unlicensed operation of motor vehicle.

11:12 a.m. – Man came into the station to report someone stole some copper piping from his home on Maple Street. Officer Wayne Sallale requested detective Geary on the scene. Report was filed.

1:58 p.m. – Man called emergency 911 from Shaw’s Supermarket on Main Street to request an ambulance for an individual who passed out in the front of the store. Ambulance responded but not transport was needed.

2:56 p.m. – 911 call came into the station with nobody on the line. Desk officer called back and spoke to individual from Onondaga Lane. Individual said it was his son playing with the phone.

3 p.m. – Man came into the station to speak to an officer about an item he found in a car he bought.

5:13 p.m. – Caller from Pine Street reported she had a problem with a chipmunk. Animal Control Officer responded.

5:24 p.m. – Caller reported a young male walking with a rifle at the river on Noon Hill Road and shooting “things.” Officer responded but male was gone on arrival.

6:25 p.m. – Caller reported a white SUV with kids in it was driving around Indian Hill Road and had “what looked like a BB gun” sticking out the window. Officer responded and reported he was enroute to Causeway Street to “get item.”

6:31 p.m. – Caller reported she was having a problem with a neighbor and would to speak to an officer. Officer spoke to woman and issue was resolved.

7:11 p.m. – Woman came into the station to speak to an officer about a possible past breaking and entering that took place on Tamarack Road.

Wednesday, June 1:

5:28 a.m. – Individual came into the station to report a possible water main break on Harding Street and Marlyn Road. Officer responded and reported it was a water main break. Ed Hinkley requested a detail officer.

1:23 p.m. – Woman came into the station and spoke with officer Larz Anderson about a box that was mailed to her by the U.S. Post Office on Wednesday, May 18.

4:19 p.m. – Officer reported he was out with a disoriented male by the Bank of America on Pleasant Street. Officer reported male checked out OK.

9:29 p.m. – Caller reported house on Bridge Street may have been struck by lightning. Medfield Fire Department responded and reported house was clear.

Thursday, June 2:

3:18 a.m. – Emergency 911 caller reported she thinks she heard something in her house and wanted an officer to check it out. Officer reported plumbing was making noise in the house.

8:20 a.m. – EMT Bennotti received a call from Bruce Macleod at Medfield State Hospital about a possible small fire in a tree in the back fields behind the state hospital. At 8:44 a.m. EMT Bennotti reported the area was clear.

11:11 a.m. – Joan Iafolla of Pine Grove Road called to report she had no power. She said there was a loud noise and then no power. NSTAR was notified.
