Medfield Police Logs: May 19-23

Highlights from Medfield police and fire logs.

Thursday, May 19:

9:17 a.m. – Caller reported a car break on Longmeadow Road. Officer Michelle Bento spoke with caller and filed an incident report.

10:06 a.m. – Officer Wayne Sallale issued a verbal warning during a motor vehicle stop on Adams Street.

11:25 a.m. – Officer Wayne Sallale issued a verbal warning during a motor vehicle stop at Oak and Pleasant Streets.

12:27 p.m. – A 21-year-old Framingham woman was issued a summons for unlicensed operation of motor vehicle after officer Wayne Sallale made a motor vehicle stop on Elm Street.

2:46 p.m. – Caller from Indian Hill Road reported every morning about 7 a.m. a school bus from Norfolk makes a turn at Indian Hill Road and does not watch when he backs up and several times he has almost hit other motor vehicles. Caller would like Norfolk to be notified.

6:11 p.m. – Man from Longmeadow Road called to report some time between Sunday morning (May 15) and Thursday (May 19) someone stole his GPS from his unlocked car that was parked in his driveway. The GPS is valued at about $100.

Friday, May 20:

2:14 a.m. – Fire alarm came in for Wilkens Glen Road, Building 4. Fire and police notified. It was later reported no alarm sounding at this time.

2:21 a.m. – Woman from Country Way called emergency 911 to report lightning hit her house and her house was filling with smoke. Fire and police notified. Fire reported some smoke in the basement. House was clear.

7:48 a.m.  –Woman from Wilkens Glen Road came into station and requested to speak with officer about her work vehicle being vandalized some time over the night. Officer Michelle Bento spoke with woman and she said she would be back with more information and a plate number that is on the vehicle.

9:53 a.m. – Jennifer Shaw called from her cell phone to report a minor two car accident at North and Harding Street. No personal injury on scene. Officer Michelle Bento helped with paper work and cleared scene.

11:43 a.m. – Woman called from her cell phone to request an officer at 530 Main St. Woman reported she was in a minor motor vehicle accident. Officer Bento reported scene was cleared.

4:44 p.m. – Caller reported her motor vehicle was broken into. Officer spoke to the caller.

7:59 p.m. – Caller reported there was a statue in their yard that does not belong to them. Officer spoke to the caller and has the statue on Snyder Road.

Saturday, May 21:

4:54 p.m. – Caller reported he had something in his chimney and he would like to speak to the Animal Control Officer.

6:30 p.m. – Clifford Stewart called from Cumberland Farms Gas Station to request an officer. He would like to speak with an officer about an unknown male calling him over the phone. The man thinks he was part of a phone scam.

10:11 p.m. – Caller from Vine Brook Road reported a loud party at a residence on Sturbridge Road. Caller called the house to speak to the parents and a kid picked up the phone and hung up when he asked to speak to a parent. Sergeant Daniel Burgess was waiting for a parent to arrive home. Parents came home and a report was filed.

Sunday, May 22:

8:11 a.m. – Caller reported a group using the fields on South Street and stated she had an agreement with the School Department regarding the use of the field early in the morning on the weekends. Sergeant Ray Burton spoke to the caller and she would call Superintendent Bob Maguire on Monday.

9:17 a.m. – Independent security reported an alarm at Scott Bedell’s Old Surry. Bedell lives in Medway at that address. Medway Police notified and stated they received a call from the alarm company to cancel because it was accidental.

3:29 p.m. – Three calls came into the station about a man falling off a ladder. Ambulance was enroute to Norwood Hospital.

9:49 p.m. – Fire alarm from Noon Hill Grill came in. Scene was cleared at 10 p.m.

Monday, May 23:

6:57 a.m. – A bus driver reported vandalism to a school bus No. 12. Window was broken. Officer reported that bus was not in the lot and will check back later.
