Medfield Police Logs: May 12-18

Highlights from Medfield police and fire logs.

Thursday, May 12:

6:58 a.m. – Dover Police reported a bright blue or torques Honda with a heavy-set male subject followed a female walker around and to her house. No plate was given.

9:25 a.m. – Subject into the station from the AG’s office about a subject at Carmen Circle. She would like an officer to assist her with speaking to this subject about the case. Sergeant Burton notified. Also Office Sallale will be going with her to the house.

4:51 p.m. – Man called from Elm Street to request the Animal Control Officer because a squirrel was running around inside his house and wanted it removed. Animal Control Officer Jennifer Shaw responded to the call.

6:08 p.m. – There was a minor three-car motor vehicle accident with no personal injuries on Main and Nebo Streets. Individual called from her cell phone to request an officer because she was just in a minor three-car motor vehicle accident with no personal injury. All three cars went to the parking lot of Lovell’s Flowers on Main Street. Officer Stephen Grover helped all parties with their paper work.

8:11 p.m. – Individual from Granite Street called and requested to see an officer. The individual was turning onto Granite Street when a woman was out at her mailbox. The individual stated he was not driving fast by her when she threw something at his jeep. Officer Stephen Grover spoke to the individual operating the jeep and looked at his vehicle. There were some scratches to his tow side doors that were made by the woman who threw keys at his jeep. No report was needed.

11:55 p.m. – Man called from Frairy Street to report someone hit his vehicle and took off. Incident report was filed.

Friday, May 13:

8:57 a.m. – Subject from Miller Street came in to the station to report verbal harassment from a member of the family. The subject had been confronted by members of the family four years ago and she had received letters, phone calls and a home visit. Individual wanted this incident noted.

9:48 a.m. – Caller reported lights are not changing on Route 109 at Route 27. Officer reported lights are working in order.

11:12 a.m. – Caller reported a low hanging wire at the end of Evergreen Way. Fire Department notified.

2:53 p.m. – Security officer John Harrington called from his cell phone at Medfield State Hospital on 45 Hospital Rd. to request an officer. They found some unlocked and open doors to some of the buildings and believe there is someone in one of the buildings. They are standing by the Chapel Building off of East Street at Medfield State Hospital. Sergeant Ray Burton and Officer Larz Anderson were enroute to check building. Building was reported secure.

4:35 p.m. – Officer Daniel Pellegrini was out doing radar at Cypress and Green Streets and issued one citation.

5:08 p.m. – Sergeant John Wilhelmi was on radar on Harding Street and issued one citation.

5:12 p.m. – Officer Daniel Pellegrini was on radar on Philip Street and issued one citation.

7:55 p.m. – Steve Bruke, one of the custodians at the Dale Street School, called from his cell phone to request an officer to remove two youths from the roof of the Dale Street School. Officer Larz Anderson spoke with Steve Bruke and the two looked for the two youths with no luck – gone on arrival.

8:17 p.m. – Unknown male motorist called from his cell phone to report 25 to 30 high school aged kids running in and out of traffic at Main and South Streets looking for money for the homeless. Officer Daniel Pellegrini spoke to the group of kids – the kids are doing a sleep over in front of the Medfield Town Hall and are also asking people for food money for the homeless. They will not be running in the streets anymore.

8:43 p.m. – Officer Daniel Pellegrini was out doing radar on North Meadows Road near the Medfield Transfer Station and issued one citation.

10:10 p.m. – EMT Jeffrey Bennotti radioed the station to report they are transporting an individual from Frairy Street to Norwood Hospital.

11:24 p.m. – Caller reported a deer in a driveway on High Street near Walpole town line that may have been hit. The sector car was dispatched and officer Cave reported a Walpole officer had put the deer down and it is by the mailbox near 115 on Plain Street. Highway Department will be notified in the morning to remove deer. At 7 a.m. Bob Kennedy notified to remove deer.

Saturday, May 14:

1:11 p.m. – Caller reported from Longmeadow Road she had a yellow lab in her yard. There were no tags on the dog. The on-call Animal Control Officer reported she would handle it.

3:01 p.m. – Unknown female motorist called to report a motor vehicle crash at High Street and South Street, near the traffic lights on Route 27 (High Street and South Street). It appeared to the caller there were no personal injuries. Officer Thomas Tabarani helped the two with paper work.

3:08 p.m. – Caller requested an ambulance for her father on Oxbow Road. Patient refused transport.

Sunday, May 15:

1:11 a.m. – Officer Daniel Pellegrini issued a verbal warning for speeding to a motor vehicle operator near Papa Gino’s Plaza on Northmeadows Road.

11:42 a.m. – Subject from Dover was into the station to report a gray SUV came over the yellow line and almost hit him. He spoke to the driver and she said she had three small kids in the car and was distracted. He wanted it logged.

5:52 p.m. – Received a 911 call from individual on North Street. Caller reported it was accidental. Officer will be checking. Officer reported it was accidental.

7:03 p.m. – Caller reported a wire down on Marlyn Road. Fire Department notified and reported phone wire. Fire Department wrapped wire around Pole #8.

Monday, May 16:

2:14 a.m. – 911 call came into the station and nobody was on the line. Desk officer called back but line was busy. Officer reported to Nye Road – location of call – and reported there was a problem with the phone line.

3:36 a.m. – Caller reported from Harding Street she would like some help with her boyfriend, who had been drinking. She needs some help getting him into the car so she can bring him to the hospital. Ambulance responded and was enroute to Norwood Hospital.

7:38 a.m. – Fire Department requested fire alarm be sounded for 190 North Street. Second call from ADT to report accidental alarm by homeowner.

12:32 p.m. – Dover Police Department requested the ambulance for a dog bite. EMTS reported subject refused transport at Miller Hill Road.

2:28 p.m. – Individual walked in for a violation of court order.

4:40 p.m. – Man called from Adams Street requesting an officer check on his three kids. He said one of the children called him and it sounded like they were arguing. Officer reported peace was restored.

5 p.m. – 911 call came into the station from CVS on Main Street. Subject on the line reported it was accidental. Officer checked area and spoke to caller. All was clear.

5:24 p.m. – Millis Police called for Medfield Ambulance to 725 Main St. to assist the town’s Fire Department. No transport was needed.

7:13 p.m. – Officer James O’Neil on radar post on Route 27 near Sherborn line and issued zero citations.

Tuesday, May 17:

6:51 a.m. – There was a disabled motor vehicle reported on West Street and North Meadows Road. Tow was requested.

7:29 a.m. – Ambulance requested for an individual at Wilkens Glen Road. Transport needed for a mental evaluation.

1:12 p.m. – Caller reported an injured bird on North Street. Animal Control Officer Shaw responded.

1:53 p.m. – Caller reported the injured bird is now in his driveway. Animal Control Officer Shaw was notified.

3:59 p.m. – 911 caller via cell phone reported a 70-year-old female with a possible stroke on Elm Street. Ambulance transported patient to Framingham Union Hospital.

5:27 p.m. – 911 caller on Main Street reported a female that was very dizzy and vomiting. Ambulance responded from Sherborn but no transport was necessary.

Wednesday, May 18:

6:55 a.m. – Woman from Causeway Street called to report she heard a loud bang. Officer notified. It was reported a blown fuse. NSTAR was notified.

10:31 a.m. – Officer Wayne Sallale reported he was out doing radar at Main and Pound Streets and issued one citation.

10:49 a.m. – A Hopedale man and Medfield woman came into the station and spoke with office Wayne Sallale about a minor motor vehicle crash they were in on Main and Spring Streets. The accident took place in front of Cumberland Farms gas station on 560 Main St. There was very minor damage. Officer Sallale assisted in paper work.

12:23 p.m. – EMT Kingsbury radioed the station to request NSTAR look at Pole 1/76 on North Street by Deerfield Drive as soon as possible. The pole was split in half about halfway up the pole and looked as if it may come down.

1:17 p.m. – Woman from Wood End Lane came into the station with a box that was mailed to her through the U.S. Post Office from Adam & Eve P.O. Box. Sergeant Ray Burton spoke with woman about the box and because there was no crime told the woman to return the box back to the U.S. Post Office in Medfield. Must have been the wrong address.

1:24 p.m. – Officer Wayne Sallale radioed the station to report he was out with a motor vehicle in front of 25 Dale Street. Officer Michelle Bento was also enroute. Officer Sallale requested an on-duty wrecker for towing at 1:30 p.m. Assured Collision was notified. Officer Sallale gave operator a ride home to Oriole Road at 1:46 p.m. Operator was issued a summons for operating with a suspended registration, an uninsured motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of motor vehicle.

3:20 p.m. – Man called emergency 911 from Curve Street to request the ambulance for his mother, who has heart problems. Patient was transported to Norwood Hospital.

4:05 p.m. – Woman called from Plain Street to request the ambulance for her three-year-old son, who had a fireplace poker in his leg. Patient was transported to Norwood Hospital.

6:20 p.m. – Matthew Scale called from his cell phone at Metacomet Park to request an officer to take a larceny report. Someone stole a large number of banners from the fence around the ball field. Officer Stephen Grover filed a report.

6:55 p.m. – Woman called from her cell phone to report two young kids racing all around Oriole Road. One vehicle was a red van. Officer Stephen Grover responded but the vehicles were gone on arrival.

10:43 p.m.  – Officer Stephen Grover reported he was out at the Medfield Highway Department on North Meadows Road with an open rear door to the garage. Officer Grover reported building was secure.

11:32 p.m. – Caller reported she would like to speak to an officer about a past break and entering to her car.
