Medfield Police Logs: June 20-22

Highlights from Medfield police and fire logs.

Monday, June 20:

6:06 a.m. – 911 caller reported she would like an ambulance for her mother who was 80-year-old and was on the floor and she was breathing. Patient transported to Glover Hospital. 

9:30 a.m. - Detective John Geary spoke with Joseph Visser, who stated to Detective Geary that his son, Rory Visser has returned home OK. It was sent out and missing persons was cancelled for Rory.

9:46 a.m. - Woman from John Crowder Road called from her cell phone to request police for a disturbance at her house. Sergeant Wilhelmi and Detective Geary as well as officers Anderson and Bento responded and restored peace. 

9:49 a.m. - Man called from his cell phone to request the ambulance at John Crowder Road for a woman who had passed out. EMT requested paramedics on scene but Fire Chief William Kingsbury cancelled paramedics and ambulance was enroute to Norwood Hospital with patient.

10:19 a.m. - Animal Control Officer Jennifer Shaw reported she was enroute to 44 Hearthstone Dr. to remove a chipmunk from inside the house. At 10:50 a.m. officer Shaw reported she had no luck in removing the chipmunk and she was clear.

10:30 a.m. - Officer Stephen Grover was doing radar on South Street at Noon Hill Road and issued no citations. 

11:03 a.m. - Officer Michelle Bento was doing radar on North Street at Deerfield Drive and issued one citation. 

1:09 p.m. - Woman called emergency 911 from Wilkens Glen Road to request an officer to file a vandalism report. Someone vandalized some of her clothes. Officer Michelle Bento spoke with the woman about someone pouring bleach on her clothes in the laundry room. No report needed. 

3:23 p.m. - Individual called to provide information regarding a resident in Medfield. Sergeant Burgess notified for future reference. 

4:37 p.m. - Sergeant Burgess was on traffic radar at Pound and Main Streets and issued two citations. 

5:07 p.m. - Officer O'Neil was on traffic radar on Sanders Way and Pound Street and issued one citation. 

6:04 p.m. - Officer O'Neil reported he removed skateboarders from Pap Gino's lot. 

6:37 p.m. - Caller reported large branch in the road on North Street. Officer reported he checked the road to the Dover line and all was clear. 

6:58 p.m. - Caller reported she had a stray dog at Rolling Lane. ANimal Control Officer notified. 

7:06 p.m. - Officer O'Neil was on a motor vehicle stop on Main Street and issued a citation. 

7:28 p.m. - Caller from Wilkens Glen Road requested an officer for a distrubance. 

9:09 p.m. - Woman requested the ambulance because she had fallen. Ambulance transported patient to Norwood Hospital. 

9:40 p.m. - Officer Flaherty was on a motor vehicle stop on North Meadows Road and issued one a citation. 

Tuesday, June 21:

8:54 a.m. - Officer on radar on Marlyn Road and Harding Street issued one citation. 

11:08 a.m. - Animal Control Officer Shaw responded for a chipmunk in a bedroom of a residence on Hearthstone Drive. 

2:36 p.m. - Caller reported a stray cat on West Street. Animal Control notified. Animal Control Officer Shaw reported she took the cat to the Animal Shelter and that the owner had passed away. 

5:24 p.m. - Officer O'Neil reported he was out with a motor vehicle on Spring Street at Kingsbury Street. Officer O'Neil issued a citation. 

5:56 p.m. - Individual from Frairy Street spoke to officer Flaherty about ongoing problem with a resident of John Crowder Road. at 6:46 p.m. the man came into the station with a disinvite letter. 

7:44 p.m. - Officer O'Neil reported someone waved him down to report two kids on the ladder of the CSX train going through town towards Framingham. CSX was notified. 

8:30 p.m. - Officer O'Neil reported he was out on a motor vehicle stop and issued a citation. 

8:33 p.m. - Officer O'Neil reported he was out on a motor vehicle stop on Park Street and issued a citation. 

Wednesday, June 22:

8:06 a.m. - Caller reported a dog in the road on North and Dale Streets. Animal Control Officer notified. 

8:18 a.m. - Caller reported holding a stray dog at Pine Street. Animal Control Officer notified. 

10:03 a.m. - Sergeant Burton stated Animal Control Officer reported a person dumping trash in the river at Bridge and West Streets. Burgess spoke with party and no trash was found. 

1:38 p.m. - Medfield Fire Department reported a motor vehicle accident. Pole struck across the road on Snyder Road. Fire alarm struck. NSTAR notified. Medfield Fire Chief William Kingsbury and two pumper engines responded to the scene. Two detail men responded for traffic. Motor vehicle operator, 19 years old of Lee Road in Medfield refused transport by ambulance and was not injured. He was issued a summons for negligent operation of a motor vehicle. 

4 p.m. - Caller reported male walking around in her backyard at Bridlefield Lane. Male was described as white, 5-foot-6 wearing a maroon shirt and he pulled up in a black truck. Officers responded and spoke with individual as well as caller. Situation cleared. 

4:01 p.m. - Caller reported a squirrel in a fireplace on Harding Street. Animal Control Officer Shaw responded and removed squirrel. 

4:19 p.m. - Caller reported reported a minor car accident by Cumberland Farms in the parking lot on Main and Spring Streets. Officer Wayne Sallale and assisted involved parties in exchanging paperwork. 

4:43 p.m. - Animal Control Officer Shaw reported she was responding to Belknap and Hillcrest where a cat attacked a woodpecker. 

6:35 p.m. - Man from 65 Frairy St. reported a female came to the door soliciting for some national consumer association and she was asking a lot of questions about employment, etc. The woman was white and in her 20s wearing a black and white plaid jacket, halter top and jeans. She also had tattoos. She was reportedly going house to house up and down the street. Officer Flaherty checked area but reportedly found nothing. 

9:34 p.m. - 911 caller reported arching wires and small fire on telephone pole on Elm Street near Wheelock School. Lt. Bennoti reported they will check and officer responded. Fire Department reported wire was arching and there was no fire.
