Medfield Police Logs, July 9-18: Pink Paint, Roaming Goats, Rogue Jogger Alarm, and Too Much Steam in the Bathroom

Highlights from Medfield police and fire logs from July 9 to July 18.

Monday, July 9:

8:38 a.m. – Carol Ann Drive. Caller reported damage to a shrub and pink spray pain in the dirt.

10:35 a.m. – West Street. Traffic enforcement, four citations for speeding.

12:36 p.m. – Main Street. Motor vehicle accident with property damage in the CVS parking lot.

4:44 p.m. – Pine Street. Family disturbance. Peace restored.

Tuesday, July 10:

3:02 a.m. – Pound Street. Tilden Village resident reported a lot of steam and heat in her bathroom. Fire Department took care of the problem.

7:04 a.m. – Marlyn Road. Person walked into station to surrender fireworks he found on Marlyn Road. Items were to be given to the fire marshall for destruction.

7:21 a.m. – North Street. Police stopped a male driver who had been yelling at female joggers. A verbal warning was issued.

12:45 p.m. – Granite Street. Traffic enforcement, zero citations. Average speed was 25 to 30 mph.

9:08 a.m. – Spring Street. A 911 caller near Route 27 and Curve Street reported that she hit the back of a car in front of her. The driver gout of and started yelling at her then took off toward Walpole.

Wednesday, July 11:

6:22 a.m. – Main Street.  Person walked into station to report that CVS construction has started at 5:30 a.m. and is not supposed to start until 7 a.m. Police spoke with them; they will start at 7 a.m.

10:02 a.m. – Main Street. Westwood Police reported that one of their officers working detail on Main Street has found some needles on the side of the road. Medfield Police picked up one needed and brought it back to the police station.

10:36 a.m. – Bunker Road. Caller reported a suspicious vehicle with its trunk open in her driveway. Police discovered it was the new cleaning lady.

Thursday, July 12:

8:35 p.m. – Pound Street. Caller asked police to remove a teenager from her house who was just dropped off with a 30-pack of beer.

Friday, July 13:

5:43 a.m. – Main Street. Caller reported a sign in front of 258 Main Street on the grass with profanity on it. Police discovered a sign that belongs to 270 Main Street with its letters rearranged. Police took the sign down.

Saturday, July 14:

3:45 p.m. – Main Street. Caller reported a dog in a car with the windows closed in the Shaw’s parking lot. Police discovered the windows are open and the dog can get out if it wants to.

5:19 p.m. – Elm Street. Caller reported ATVs in the sand pit behind the Wheelock School. Police told them to leave.

10 p.m. – Wilkins Glen Road. Caller reported a disturbance in the driveway to Wilkins Glen. Police resolved the matter.

11:20 p.m. – Spring Street. A 911 caller reported a car alarm going off in the center of town. Police informed the caller what 911 is to be used for, then responded to the scene where they discovered a jogger’s body alarm found in the mulch near Baxter Park. Police turned off the alarm.

Sunday, July 15:

7:25 a.m. – Knollwood Road. Caller reported his mailbox and two others on the street were smashed overnight.

8:29 a.m. – Vine Lake Cemetery. Caller reported flowers were stolen from a family grave, and said this has been a continuous problem.

1:11 p.m. – Harding Street. Caller reported four goats in the street. Animal Control Officer could not be reached so police got the goats back into the yard and secured.

5:38 p.m. – Spring Street. Business reported someone drove off without paying their bill.

Monday, July 16:

10:27 p.m. – South and Curve Streets. Traffic enforcement, two citations issued.

8:26 p.m. – North Meadows Road. A 911 caller reported a driver “all over the road” on Route 27 heading toward Sherborn. Police pulled over two females. A 21-year old Walpole female was charged with driving with a suspended registration.

Tuesday, July 17:

8:04 a.m. – West and Bridge Streets. Traffic enforcement, no citations.

1:05 p.m. – Hartford Street. Police assisted Dover police with traffic related to a rollover accident.

Wednesday, July 18

8:57 a.m. – North Street at Deerfield Drive. Traffic enforcement, two citations.

9:25 a.m. – West Street. Traffic enforcement, one citation.
