Medfield Police Logs: Aug. 22-29

Highlights from Medfield police and fire logs.

Monday, Aug. 22:

8:29 a.m. – Man called again to report sometime Friday, someone damaged the sign for the Westwood Gun Club off of Trailside Road. Value of the sign is around $300.

4:35 p.m. – Sergeant Wilhelmi was out on traffic enforcement at Main and Pound Streets.

7:12 p.m. – Woman from Farm Street called and requested to see Animal Control because she has two dogs she picked up. Animal Control officer picked up the dogs and returned them to the owner.

7:17 p.m. – Individual from Janes Avenue called emergency 911 to request the ambulance for another individual who was transported to LM Hospital in Natick.

9:50 p.m. – Man from Whichita Road called to report some kids ringing his doorbell and flashing lights in his house. Man requested officer check the area. Officer reported he checked the area and reported kids were gone on arrival.

Tuesday, Aug. 23:

1:01 a.m. – Walpole Police radioed Medfield about a breaking and entering suspect from their town wearing a black shirt that was headed towards Ralph Wheelock Elementary School. Medfield officers notified. Walpole Police reported they had two suspects under arrest around the sand pit behind the Wheelock School. Medfield officer transported two suspects to Wheelock School with a Walpole Sergeant at 1:26 a.m. A nurse from Norwood Hospital called at 4 a.m. to report one of the suspects in Walpole was picked up early because she suffered a dog bite while Walpole Police was chasing her in the woods with the state police K9 officer and his dog.

9:02 a.m. – Woman from Pound Street called to report harassing phone calls that she thinks is a scam, which was calling about her bank.

11:15 a.m. – Walpole Police called to request a Medfield Police officer to assist with an arrest warrant. Sergeant Burton reported Walpole Police had the man from Pleasant Court under arrest. Man was taken to Walpole Police Department for processing.

1:56 p.m. – Many calls on Charlesdale and Bridge Street came in reporting a small earthquake. Officer notified and Sergeant Burton reported Westwood put out a similar call. Medfield Police Chief Robert Meaney Jr. said reports came out of Washington D.C. on small earthquakes in the area.

7:30 p.m. – Caller from Stuart Street reported dirt bikes behind the Wheelock fields. The sector car was notified and responded. Officer reported he was with one of the four bikes and the owner. Officer told the bike operator to stay off the property with the dirt bike.

Wednesday, Aug. 24:

2 a.m. – Woman from Maplewood Road called to report someone standing outside with a flashlight looking in the house. Officer Pellegrini reported he spoke to the caller and homeowner of the Maplewood home, who said he was walking his dog.

5:49 a.m. – Officer Pellegrini on traffic enforcement on 20 Hartford St. and issued one citation.

8:05 a.m. – Woman from Main Street called and requested to speak to an officer. She said she stayed with a friend overnight and when she got home Wednesday morning, it looked like someone tried to break into her house, possibly through the front door. Officer spoke with woman and looked at the door and around the house. Reported no damage to the house.

9:03 a.m. – Man called from his cell phone to report he was in a minor motor vehicle crash at Route 109 and Route 27 by Friendly’s on 536 Main St.

10:23 a.m. – Individual called from Pound Street by emergency 911 to request the ambulance for a 55-year-old man who may have been having a stroke. Ambulance responded and transported patient to Norwood Hospital.

12:44 p.m. – Officer Anderson was on traffic enforcement in the area of 64 Hartford St. and issued two verbal warnings.

1:16 p.m. – Man called from the Blake Middle School to request Animal Control because he had a rabbit there and it had to be removed.

10:20 p.m. – Caller reported a loud party at Indian Hill Road and requested the music be turned down.

Thursday, Aug. 25:

9:09 a.m. – Desk officer called to request mutual aid by Medfield ambulance to 71 Union St. in Millis for a woman who had fallen and hit her head. Ambulance was enroute to Norwood Hospital with patient.

6:20 p.m. – Man from Green Street called to request to see the Animal Control officer because he had a dog that needed to be picked up.

7:24 p.m. – Woman called emergency 911 to request an officer because there was a large group of kids playing ad riding their bikes all around her car.

8:08 p.m. – Woman called from Carol Ann Drive to request the ambulance for her husband, who was having a bleeding problem. Patient was transported to Norwood Hospital.

10:56 p.m. – Caller from Harding Street reported she had a dog she found walking down the street. Animal Control notified.

Friday, Aug. 26:

9:20 a.m. – Caller requested an officer and the ambulance to Janes Avenue. Ambulance was enroute to Natick.

9:50 a.m. – CSX came into the station to report on Saturday they will be removing the gates at the railroad crossing because of Tropical Storm Irene. They will put them back up on Monday.

2:09 p.m. – Officer reported a motor vehicle accident in front of Master’s Touch on Main Street. Assured Collision towing responded and towed the vehicle. An accident and incident report were filed.

2:40 p.m. – Fire Department responded to an event Bridge Street.

4:30 p.m. – Multiple calls reporting a motor vehicle accident on Brook Street and Route 109 with possible personal injury. All cruisers were dispatched as well as an ambulance. Assured Collision towed vehicle and one was transported by ambulance to hospital.

4:54 p.m. – 911 caller reported a motor vehicle accident on North and Green Streets. No personal injury reported. Accident report filed.

5:08 p.m. – The Medfield High School football team’s trainer requested the ambulance for a dehydrated player. Walpole Fire Department notified and responded. Player was transported to Norwood Hospital.

5:24 p.m. – Caller from Stillwell Road in Norfolk reported a barking dog from a grey house on Wichita Road in Medfield. Officer responded and reported all was quiet.

5:50 p.m. – Caller reported a minor motor vehicle accident at Routes 109 and 27. Vehicles were in the Cumberland Farms lot. Officer responded and said no report necessary.

6:31 p.m. – Man called reporting illegal dumping at Wilkens Glenn off Brook Street. Officer reported person dumping lives at Wilkens Glenn and situation was cleared.

7 p.m. – Manager from Shaw’s reported a shoplifter. Officer dispatched and responded to scene. Arrest report was filed.

7:59 p.m. – Manager from Friendly’s restaurant called to request a suspicious vehicle be removed from the parking lot on Main Street. Officers responded and reported all parties were present and were advised not to trespass on the property and they are not wanted in the parking lot.

Saturday, Aug. 27:

6:22 a.m. – A detective from Stow Police Department called in regards to a motor vehicle stop involving a man from Brockton. He was stopped in Stow with clothing he had removed from a drop box.

8:11 a.m. – Woman walked into the station saying she fell while walking and needed an ice pack. Fire Department notified.

8:16 a.m. – Caller reported drains on Marlyn Road are covered with leaves. Caller was concerned water would not go down drain. Highway Department notified.

9:24 a.m. – Officer Wayne Sallale issued a verbal warning on a motor vehicle stop on North Meadows Road.

10:01 a.m. – Westwood Police reported they received a call about hanging wires across from Shaw’s on Main Street in Medfield. Fire Department notified and reported they checked the line. All wires were attached and some to new poles.

10:44 a.m. – A disorderly conduct incident was reported at the Transfer Station on North Meadows Road that resulted in the arrest of a male over 17 years old. Further details were not released for public record.

11:16 a.m. – Caller reported debris in the road at the Transfer Station. Highway Department notified.

11:19 a.m. – Man from Garry Road reported mischief to his property. Stones were moved from his wall. Mailbox was filled with dirt and he wanted it noted. He did not speak to an officer.

8:56 p.m. – Caller reported a motor vehicle crash on North Meadows Road by CVS. No personal injury was reported.

Sunday, Aug. 28:

8:37 a.m. – Sergeant Ray Burton reported some time overnight that some one broke the door in and a window at Varney Brothers off of West Mill Street. Desk officer notified Varney Brothers.

10:12 a.m. – Officer reported she hit a mailbox and had a flat tire on High and Forest Streets. Assured Collision towing was enroute.

2:20 p.m. – Caller from Meade Avenue called emergency 911 to request the ambulance for a 50-year-old throwing up.

10:21 p.m. – Woman from Homestead Drive requested to see an officer about a verbal situation with her husband. She would like him removed from the home. Officer reported the father and daughter are staying with a friend for the night. Mother Staying at Homestead residence. Incident report filed.

Monday, Aug. 29:

8:07 a.m. – Officer served a summons in hand at Minuteman Road.
