Medfield Police Logs, April 6 – April 11

Highlights from Medfield police and fire logs.

Wednesday, April 6:

11:32 a.m. – Safety Sig. Reports an alarm at Gun Hill Road. Alarm was accidental by home owner.

1:10 p.m. – ADT Security reported an alarm at a home on Pondview Avenue. Officers reported hand check and house clear.

1:40 p.m. – Received from Dedham District Court a 209A restraining order for an individual on Wilkens Glen Road. Order expires on July 1 and was placed into file. Defendant was served at court.

3:04 p.m. – Brian Davis of 24 Adams St. called to report a wire was taken down by a truck driving by his house. EMT reported the wire was a Verizon phone line going into Davis’ home. Desk officer notified Verizon phone company.

4:58 p.m. – Individual from Pound Street came into the police station and spoke with officer Larz Anderson. Officer Anderson and the individual looked at some damage that was done to his wife’s car.Their daughter had the car and it was parked in the rear parking lot of 537 Main St between 4 and 10:30 p.m. on April 5. Someone scratched the hood of the car. Report was filed.

8:47 p.m. – Christopher Rhuda called from the Medfield Water Department to report they will be flushing fire hydrants in the areas of North Meadows Road, West Street, Bridge Street, West Mill Street and Adams Street.

11:31 p.m. – Lifeline called emergency 911 to report a 44-year-old was calling for help at Wilkens Glen Road. Ambulance was enroute to Norwood Hospital with patient.

Thursday, April 7:

12:34 a.m. – Individual called to report that another individual had been calling him and leaving nasty voice messages and texting him with same. Desk officer told caller to call Blackstone Police to report.

1:14 a.m. – Individual from High Street called emergency 911 while on hold with officer Christine DiNatale to report there is an intruder on her property. Officer notified but officer DiNatale reported intruder was gone on arrival. Caller called back at 1:33 a.m. to report she doesn’t feel safe and claims the officer did not check her property. Report was filed.

3:42 a.m. – Woman from Clayton Street called to report her daughter pushed the father trying to get the car keys so she could leave. Officer notified and officer Christine DiNatale reported transporting one back to the station for a ride.

10:26 a.m. – Bank of America alarm company reported alarm coming from their ATM at 238 Main St. Officer James O’Neil reported no problems at ATM.

11:32 a.m. – EMT requested a fire alarm be sounded for a brush fire somewhere in the area of Philip and Elm Streets. Officer James O’Neil will be also respond to the area.

2:23 p.m. – Officer James O’Neil reported he was out with a motor vehicle stop in front of Kingsbury’s Pond on Spring Street. Officer requested Assured Collision towing on the scene. A friend of the motor vehicle operator picked him up to give him a ride.

3:39 p.m. – Dedham District Court gave officer Wayne Sallale a harassment prevention order to be served to defendant on High Street. Officer Stephen Grover attempted seven times to serve order with no luck.

8:40 p.m. – Outside fire alarm came into station for Bullard’s Plaza on Green Street. Officer Larz Anderson enroute.

9:19 p.m. – Christopher Rhuda called from the Medfield Water Department to report they will be out tonight flushing fire hydrants on the north side of town.

9:40 p.m. – Outside fire alarm came into the station for the Comark on 93 West St. Officer Larz Anderson enroute.

11:32 p.m. – Cell caller reported she was broken down on Route 27 near Hospital Road. Officer reported woman was out of gas and AAA responded.

11:36 p.m. – Caller from Pound Street reported he would like to speak to an officer about a problem with his wife.

Friday, April 8:

5:03 a.m. – Postal PS reported alarm coming from the Medfield Post Office lobby on North Street. Officer responded and spoke to worker who had a problem with one of the doors. All was OK.

5:35 a.m. – Cell caller reported a motor vehicle collision on North Street near the Memorial School. Officers responded and requested one wrecker from Assured Collision.

7:43 a.m. – Individual from Paddock Lane called emergency 911 to request an ambulance for her father, 83, who was having chest pains. Woman would like father taken to the hospital. At 8:01 a.m. patient was taken to Norwood Hospital by ambulance.

12:22 p.m. – Officer Larz Anderson reported he was out on the flats on North Meadows Road with a disable motor vehicle.

1:23 p.m. – Individual from Green Street came into the station and requested to speak with an officer about a case of identification fraud. The party was using her husband’s name and officer Larz Anderson spoke with woman.

4:34 p.m. – Cell caller from Harding Street reported two strange looking male subjects on Harding Street. One older subject and the other subject around 20-25 years old. The subjects “took off” into the woods heading towards the State Hospital. One had an ALK hat and both were wearing jeans. Officer reported he found an open door at a yellow house on Hospital Road where they had been problems in the past. Officers checked the house but the house was empty.

Saturday, April 9:

10:55 a.m. – Male came into the station to report he and his brother were going to Wilkens Glen Road to pick up some of their sister’s belongings. Officer Anderson will be standing by for the time being. This is also OK with other individual involved. Officer Anderson later reported all parties were clear of Wilkens Glen Road.

1:44 p.m. – Unknown male called from Minuteman Road to request an officer check on a white male going door to door giving out phone books. He has been in the area too long, according to the caller. Officer Larz Anderson spoke with the male party. He was going door to door giving out Verizon phone books. There was o problem.

4:59 p.m. – Caller reported he had an injured rabbit in his yard. Animal Control was notified.

11:26 p.m. – Caller reported kids in a truck drinking on Indian Hill Road at Penobscot. Officer responded and subject was on his way.

Sunday, April 10:

8:57 a.m. – Caller from Pondview reported their son had an altercation with his sister. Boy was out walking around. The caller wanted the police to come down and speak with the boy. Caller was told the police were not there for that purpose. Police would assist if they wanted to take out charges against their son. Parents did not want to push that issue.

11:17 a.m. – Caller reported two boys on skateboards weaving in and out of traffic on West Street. Officer spoke to the boys.

11:20 a.m. – Caller on Philip Street said her child’s grandmother will not allow her daughter out to meet the mother. Mother has custody of the child. Officers respond to the house. No one will come to the door. Message left on the answering machine. Officers spoke to the involved parties. 16-year-old girl wants to stay at the grandmother’s. They have court in the morning.

Monday, April 11:

6:36 a.m. – Caller from South and Main Streets called to report while she was driving on Main Street she was struck. Other driver got out and looked at the motor vehicle and then drove off. She did not get a plate. She will come to the station for an inspection on her motor vehicle.

6:53 a.m. – Caller reported a car fire in the parking lot at Will’s Hardware. Alarm sounded and Fire Chief William Kingsbury responded. Kingsbury reported it was a fire in the bed of the pickup truck and the fire is now out.
