Medfield Police Logs: April 25 – 29

Highlights from Medfield police and fire logs.

Monday, April 25:

 8:47 a.m. – Medfield Fire Department reported they had a walk-in medical and would be transporting one to Newton Wellesley Hospital.

11:41 a.m. – Officer Sallale issued a verbal warning on a motor vehicle stop on South Street.

2:14 p.m. – Alarm company reported an alarm for the McClements residence on Green Street. Officer responded and reported area was secure.

4:08 p.m. – Alarm company reported alarm going off at Orchard Street and officer Stephen Grover spoke with home owner and he reported it was just a test.

5:01 p.m. – Michael Walsh reported from his cell phone in the parking lot of Shaw’s Market on Main Street he needs an officer because he is locked out of his jeep. Officer Grover gained access.

5:45 p.m. – Man from Pleasant Street called emergency 911 to request an ambulance for his 11-year-old daughter who was having a reaction to peanuts. Patient was taken to Norwood Hospital.

6:45 p.m. – Woman from South Street came into the station and requested to speak with an officer about a case of credit card fraud. She lost her bank card some time on April 23 and someone has taken money out of her bank with her bank card. Her bank told her to report it with the police. Report was filed.

Tuesday, April 26:

3:32 a.m. – Woman from West Street called to report her front door was wide open and stated someone was in her house. Officer notified and officer Daniel Pellegrini reported he checked the house and everything appeared to be in order. Officer Pellegrini reported a suspicious white vehicle parked on Adams Street.

5:21 p.m. – Caller requested the ambulance for her mother at Stagecoach Road. Ambulance was enroute to Norwood Hospital with patient.

6:48 p.m. – A man reported boys on dirt bikes in the sand pits on Elm Street and would like them removed.

7:50 p.m. – Caller reported from Pondview Ave that they were having problem with their 16-year-old son. Officer requested and spoke with caller.

8:14 p.m. – Woman called from Spruce Way requested the Animal Control officer for a chipmunk.

Wednesday, April 27:

1:26 a.m. – The Medfield Fire Department reported a fire alarm at Sam White’s on West Street. At 1:47 a.m. all units reported clear and reported a possible faulty smoke detector.

4:43 a.m. – Caller from North Street reported his mother is not feeling well and would like the ambulance. Patient was taken to Norwood Hospital.

5:49 a.m. – 911 caller reported from Green Street he would like an ambulance for his father who was 85 years old. He was having chest pains. Patient transported to Norwood Hospital.

7:13 a.m. – Fire Department called to request the alarm to be sounded for Wilkens Glen Road building 5. Fire and police notified and Fire Chief William Kingsbury reported a panic alarm.

7:55 a.m. – Man from Stuart Street walked into station to request an extra patrol around the Wheelock School for the motorcycle and ATV riding around the track area.

8:43 a.m. – Man from Spring Street walked into the station to request an officer to go with him to Philip Street to pick up some things. On April 26 a 209A was issued at court from woman and it is good until March 9, 2012.

11:26 a.m. – Sergeant Daniel Burgess reported he was out on Pound Street doing radar.

12:40 p.m. – Manager from CVS called to report a truck blocking the exit to CVS parking lot. Officer was notified and Sergeant Burgess reported the truck was gone. Manager reported it is an ongoing problem and he will call back if it happens again.

2:20 p.m. – Unknown female caller from the Montrose School called to report one of their bus drivers hit a parked car. Officer was notified. Sergeant Burgess requested assured collision. Accident report filed.

3:24 p.m. – Subject in the station to report she lost her keys. Fire Department responded to Pleasant Street to open her apartment.

3:45 p.m. – Woman in the station to report the railroad lights on Cottage Street were flashing. Lights have reset after the train.

6:09 p.m. – Caller reported dirt bikes in the fields behind the Wheelock School. Sergeant Wilhelmi reported gone on arrival from the pits and field.

10:23 p.m. – Caller reported his car has a flat tire. It was on Farm Street at the railroad tracks and is off to the side of the road. He will remove it in the morning.

11:28 p.m. – Caller reported two strange cars parked in front of his house and he would like a car to check on them at Trailside Road. Officer reported there was a subject waiting for his friend to come home at Trailside Road.

Thursday, April 28:

7:25 a.m. – Man reported a disabled motor vehicle at Hospital Road and Harding Street. Officer requested a tow.

8:19 a.m. – Individual came into the station to speak to Officer Michelle Bento regarding fraud.

9:45 a.m. – Caller reported a motor vehicle accident and fire department requested alarm to be sounded. Ambulance responded and transported individual to Norwood Hospital.

10:26 a.m. – Subject came into the station in regard to being followed by her old boyfriend. Cruisers were at a motor vehicle accident and will she will speak to an officer at her home.

11:22 a.m. – Caller reported he was having a problem with raccoons and will speak to Animal Control.

1:49 p.m. – Caller reported her motor vehicle is disabled and assured collision was notified.

2:58 p.m. – Caller reported a large tree broke off and it may take down the power lines. It was on Causeway Street. Highway Department notified. NSTAR was notified and will notify a crew.

6:05 p.m. – Caller reported his car was damaged near Anton Cleaners on Main Street.

9:25 p.m. – Caller reported when he got home there was a car backed into his driveway near his house. As he was getting his mail he saw a male subject run to the car and say “we got the wrong house.” The car then went down the driveway and went passed the man. It was a medium size red car. He did not get the plate.

11:23 p.m. – Eastham Police called regarding a 911 call they received from Causeway Street.

Friday, April 29:

4:13 a.m. – Caller reported three kids walking down Route 27 from Sherborn. She was afraid they may get hit by a car. Officer spoke to children and said they would be walking single file.

4:16 a.m. – 911 caller reported she would like an ambulance for her father who was not feeling well at Longmeadow Road. Ambulance was enroute with patient to Norwood Hospital.

9:29 a.m. – Caller reported power was out on North Street.

10:34 a.m. – Officer Sallale reported he was on radar at South Street.

10:43 a.m. – Officer Flaherty reported he was on radar at Orchard Street.

10:52 a.m. – Caller reported railroad crossing arm down with nothing on the tracks at Main Street. CSX reported it was at another crossing and will check Main Street.

11:08 a.m. – Officer Sallale reported he was on a motor vehicle stop on South Street. Summons was issued to Natick resident for unlicensed operation of motor vehicle and speeding (46 in a 30 mph zone).

12:27 p.m. – Caller reported she had a broken leg and was in the cemetery. She reported she was in the old part of the cemetery. Ambulance was enroute to Norwood Hospital with patient.

1:26 p.m. – Caller requested the ambulance for low blood sugar. Millis Ambulance responded and was enroute to Needham.

2:50 p.m. – James Landry of Charlesdale Road called to report a black dog running around the neighborhood he also stated while his daughter was walking the dog attacked his dog. Animal Control notified.

4:25 p.m. – Man from Main Street called to report a landscaping truck in the road slowing down the traffic. Officer notified and reported he spoke to that party and will move his vehicle so it’s not in the road.
