Medfield Police Log: Sept. 17 and 18 -- Branches Down in Wind Storm

Monday, Sept. 17

10:36 a.m., Main Street. Caller reported a car parked half in the road in front of Lovell's.  Gone on arrival.

4:02 p.m., High Street. Caller reported a motor vehicle accident with property damage. 

5:06 p.m., Colonial Road. Caller reported they have a lost dog and they are looking for its owners. Animal Control was notified.

Tuesday, Sept. 18

5:50 a.m., North Street near Deerfield. Traffic enforcement; three citations issued.

10:28 a.m., North Street. Fire Department transported a patient who was having trouble breathing to Needham Hospital.

2:08 p.m., South Street and Robert Sproul Road.  Police helped at school crossing.

2:10 p.m., South Street and Pound Street. Police helped at school crossing.

6:21 p.m., Curve Street. Caller reported two men going door to door. Gone on arrival.

8:51 p.m., High Street. Walpole police said they had a report of a tree on some wires on High Street. At 9:03 p.m., Walpole called back to say the tree was in their town. At 9:16 p.m., Walpole asked Medfield to shut down Elm Street at Philip Street which they did. 

10:56 p.m., Cross Street. Caller reported a large branch down near 5 Cross Street. Tree Warden said the branch is on the wires and is blocking half the road but that cars can pass by without a problem. NSTAR was notified.
