Medfield Police Chief: 'Unusual' Break-In Occurs on High Street

Medfield Police uncertain if anything was taken from house.

A Medfield woman called Medfield Police at 3:48 p.m. on April 5 to report her house on High Street was broken into, according to police reports.

Wellesley Police responded with a K-9 Unit and Walpole Police sent two detectives because Medfield’s detectives were not available, according to Medfield Chief of Police, Robert Meaney Jr.

“Since we did not know how recent the break was, we called for a search/tracking dog,” Meaney said. “However, no leads were found.”

Meaney said the housebreak on High Street was “unusual” because there are not many of those anymore.

“It is much simpler to commit identity theft and less risky,” Meaney said.
