Medfield Police: 2 Injured in 3-Car Crash on Main Street

The motor vehicle accident occurred just before 4 p.m. Wednesday on Route 109 Main Street in Medfield, according to Medfield Police.

It was a scary scene Wednesday in Medfield after a three-car accident on Route 109 Main Street left one motor vehicle turned on its roof and at least two people injured, according to Medfield Police.

"[There were] no critical injuries but at least two were transported to the hospital," said Medfield Chief of Police Robert E. Meaney Jr.

Meaney said the crash occurred Wednesday at 3:54 p.m.

"A motor vehicle travelling westbound on Route 109 was turning into 258 Main St. with its directional on when another motor vehicle struck the vehicle turning in the rear, pushing it into an oncoming vehicle," Meaney said. "The vehicle that struck the vehicle in the rear then rolled onto its roof," Meaney said.

Meaney said there were three vehicles and three operators involved in the crash with no passengers in the vehicles.

"No passengers, as far as I know," Meaney said.

Meaney said the motor vehicle operators involved in the crash were from three different towns.

"One [from] Medfield, one [from] Norwood, one [from] Bellingham," Meaney said.

Carlos Silva of Bellingham, according to Meaney, was cited for speeding and marked lane violation.

"This is the individual that hit the car in the rear," Meaney said.
