Make Some Noise for Baby Coyotes, Elderly Man in PJs, and More

Here's a look at the police log for Friday and Saturday.

Here's a glance at the Medfield safety log for July 5 and July 6. 

Friday, July 5

2:04 p.m., Harding Street. Caller reported wires down by Evergreen Road. Fire Chief Kingsbury tied it up.

2:43 p.m., Knollwood Road. Caller reported an older man in his pajamas walking in the area. Gone on arrival.

3:56 p.m., Newport Lane. Caller reported identity theft.

4:53 p.m., Pound Street. Caller reported a call claiming to be collecting money for the state police for a project in Medfield. Police said this sounded like scam. The number was 508-409-0675. 

7:08 p.m., Spring Street. Caller reported an elderly man walking southbound on Route 27 just out of the center; he appears to need some help. Gone on arrival.

9:58 p.m., Bridge Street. Caller, 53, asked for an ambulance to take her to the hospital because she was hot and could not cool herself down. Medfield Ambulance took her to Norwood Hospital.

Saturday, July 6

9:38 a.m., West Street. LifeLine said they wanted an ambulance sent to this address for a 79 year old woman who has fallen. Her family members are with her. Taken to Beth Israel in Needham.

5:49 p.m., Spring Street. Traffic control at St. Edward's Church.

6:58 a.m., West Mill Street. Caller asked to speak to the Animal Control Officer about a baby coyote that has been laying around on his lawn and driveway all day. At 7:14 p.m., police called him back to say they were still trying to find the ACO, and the caller said he now has four baby coyotes on his front lawn. Homeowner was told to make some noise so the coyotes would run back into the woods for the night; he did and they ran away. At 8:33 p.m., the ACO called police who then called the homeowner who said the four coyotes had run off into the woods. 

9:17 a.m., Curve and Pound Streets. Caller reported loud fireworks gong off in the area. Police did not find locate the noise.
