Mailbox Vandals Are Back, Suspicious Vehicle in Driveway, Family Disputes and More

Saturday, April 13

4:36 a.m., Pound Street. E911 caller said she needed assistance with two residents. Police spoke with the woman at Tilden Village who said she was all set. 

6:31 a.m., Philip Street. Caller said someone pulled her mailbox out of the ground and left it on her front lawn.

9:10 a.m., Plain Street. Caller said someone damaged his mailbox and pole (valued at $550) sometime overnight. 

9:40 a.m., station. Issued a burning permit.

4:07 p.m., North Street. Caller said they heard a loud noise in front of their house and, when they went out, they found that someone hit the street sign and some small poles that were on the side of the road. DPW was notified.

5:01 p.m., Plain Street. Caller said her mailbox and post were damaged overnight (value $150).

7:40 p.m., Nebo Street. Walk-in report from a woman having trouble with her son. She spoke with police and was advised to possibly seek legal assistance.

10:46 p.m., Philip Street. Caller said her mailbox was just smashed. Another caller reports mailboxes in the area are being smashed. 

10:58 p.m., Plain Street. Caller reported a vehicle parked and the driver out of the vehicle and not feeling well. Gone on arrival.

Sunday, April 14

8 a.m., Plain Street. Caller reported his mailbox was smashed overnight. 

8:16 a.m., 10:18 a.m., 12:15 p.m., Spring Street. Traffic control at St. Edward's Church.

9:14 a.m., Main Street. Traffic control at United Church of Christ.

10:34 a.m., Grace Drive. Caller reported a Lincoln town car parked near his driveway for over an hour with a male subject inside. Police discovered it was a limo picking up a neighbor.

11:34 a.m., North Meadows Road. Police removed a suspicious vehicle (2010 Jeep Wrangler) from the range.

1:03 p.m., Hawthorne Drive. Caller said that, when he came home, there was a strange car in his driveway. When the subject saw the homeowner, he took off. Gone on arrival.

1:54 p.m., Green Street. Caller reported a leaking fire hydrant at Flintlock Lane.

7:30 p.m., Wilkens Glen. E911 caller requested an ambulance for her husband who fell and broke his ankle. 

9:40 p.m., Philip Street. Caller reported kids going up and down Philip Street knocking over trash cans. Caller also reported a white SUV may be involved. Gone on arrival, and trash cans were moved out of the road. 

10:44 p.m., High Street. Caller said his bus will be parked across the street from his house overnight.
