Mailbox Damage, Meteor Shower, Deer and More

Here's a look at the Medfield safety log for Aug. 11 and Aug. 12. 

Sunday, Aug. 11 

6:33 p.m., North Street. Caller asked to talk to the Animal Control Officer about a sick fox on his property.

8:10 p.m., Johns Avenue. Caller said that a house in the neighborhood reported problems with kids using a pool at the home of a neighbor who isn't home.  

10:42 p.m., Longmeadow Road. Medfield State Hospital security reported a suspicious vehicle in the area, and a report of fireworks near this location. 

Monday, August 12 

1:04 a.m., Medfield High School. Police noticed three vehicles parked in the circle at the high school.  Police spoke with parents of two of the drivers who said the kids are there to watch the meteor shower.

7:32 a.m., Pine Street. Caller said someone hit his mailbox within the last few days. 

8:36 a.m., North Street. Caller said they fired a worker last week and he parked next to the donation dumpster, and (as of 11:30am on Saturday). 

8:59 a.m., Medfield Commons. E911 caller said he was assaulted by another car at this location. Cars were: 2013 gray Toyota SE Camry, and a 1999 Dodge Durango. 

10:11 a.m., station. A woman walked into the station to speak to an officer about a neighbor. 

11:35 a.m., The Paddock Lane. Caller wanted to talk to someone about some missing prescription drugs. 

11:55 a.m., South Street. Caller said he hit a deer, and the deer is now dead.  

2:27 p.m., station. Turtle Brook Way resident reported a possible phone scam. 

3:20 p.m., Main Street. Caller said she heard a strange cat in her backyard. 

7:10 p.m., Sturbridge Road. Two cars patrolled this neighborhood. Homeowner said she wanted her 22 year old son off the property; he does not live there. 

10:38 p.m., North Street. Police said there would be workers inside the new Starbucks most of the night.
