Hole in the Ice with Hat in the Water, and More

Here's a glance at the Medfield safety log for Feb. 13 and Feb. 14.

Wednesday, Feb. 13

6:59 a.m., Main Street and Pound Street. E911 caller reported he was just rear-ended by Pound Street. Vehicles included a 2006 GMC Yukon and a 2008 Mercedes C300.

8:43 a.m., Main Street. Walk-in report from a man who said his car (2008 Toyota Scion) was struck on Main Street by Pleasant Street while traveling east on Main Street. Party believes the other car was a green Honda Pilot.

11 a.m., South Street. Police out on a field investigation for sex offender registry on South Street. Unable to make contact at this time. 

2:34 p.m., North Street. Caller reports a small black dog in the middle of the road. Animal Control has the dog and believes she knows where it lives.

2:43 p.m., Mitchell Street. E911 caller reproted her small black dog is missing. She was notified not to use 911 for this purpose, and was told that the Animal Control officer has the dog.

2:51 p.m., Main Street. Caller reports a party driving a grey Toyota east on Route 109 and the caller is sure the driver has a suspended license. Gone on arrival.

3:15 p.m., Pondview Avenue. E911 caller said she sees a hole in the ice and what she thinks is a hat in the water. Police did not find anything. Medfield Fire personnel checked the area of the hole and also checked the entire perimeter of the pond. No footprints observed on the ice or in the snow around the edge of the pond. 

8:27 p.m., Spring Street. Caller from St. Edward's called to request assistance with traffic. 

Thursday, Feb. 14

7:45 a.m., Pound Street. Police are out at Tilden Village on an investigation.

8:02 a.m., Main Street. Caller reported smoeone just hit his vehicle. Cars involved are a 2011 Subaru Forester and a 2010 Toyota Camry. 

9:50 a.m., Ice House Road. Dover resident came into station to report vandalism to her car (2000 Lexus) on Monday between 8am and 9:30am.  

2:08 p.m., Main Street and Robert Sproul Road. Traffic control.

3:31 p.m., Main Street and Pound Street. Car accident with property damage. Parties exchanged papers.

4 p.m., Elm Street by Cross Street. Caller reported a suspicious white male, 20 to 30 years old, going door to door in the area. Police said he was soliciting and was spoken to.
