Four Millis Residents in Trouble, Railroad Thieves, and More

7:33 a.m., Pound Street. Caller said there was no crossing guard at Pound Street.

8:06 a.m., Causeway and Main Streets. E911 caller reported a car accident in the area.

8:38 a.m., Nebo Street. Walk-in report of vandalism on Nebo Street.

11:07 a.m., North Meadows Road. Police investigated a suspicious vehicle (Ford pickup) on North Meadows Road. 

6:34 p.m., North Street and Deerfield. Traffic control: one citation.

7:06 p.m., Granite Street. House alarm accidental by homeowner.

Tuesday, March 26

9:02 a.m., South Street. Traffic enforcement: two citations.

11 a.m., North and Harding Streets. Traffic enforcement: one citation.

12:25 p.m., Spring Street. Police stopped a vehicle (2002 Dodge Dakota pickup truck) near Kingsbury Pond. Police are now seeking a summons for:

  • a 31-year-old resident of Island Road in Millis for (a) operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and (b) license not in possession; and
  • a 26-year-old resident of Island Road in Millis for (a) operating after revocation of registration, and (b) uninsured motor vehicle.

2 p.m., Green Street. Traffic enforcement.

2:11 p.m., Hospital Road. Traffic enforcement.

2:27 p.m., Railroad Tracks. A CSX train engineer reported people on the side of the tracks between West Mill Street and Hospital Road with their vehicle (2007 Ford pickup truck) who might be stealing steel from the side of the tracks. CSX police also responded. A citation for trespassing on CSX Railroad property was issued to a resident of Island Road in Millis, and Conway Road in Millis.
