Crossing Guard Problem with Driver, Deer in Pond, Found Dog, and More

Tuesday, March 12

1:50 p.m., Hatters Hill Road. Walk-in report from a couple who said they were out walking their dog when they passed a house on Cheney Pond Road and that dog charged them and bit their dog. Animal Control was notified.

4:43 p.m., Pleasant Street. Walk-in report of a hole in the road at Pleasant and Main Streets. Police reported the vent cover is missing and the Highway Department is aware of this. Police said it is two inches deep, has been cleaned, and is ready to be patched. 

4:58 p.m., Green Street. Caller said he wanted to speak with an officer about a past employee. Police reported the matter is a civil matter at this time.

5 p.m., Center of town. Walk-in report of a car accident that just happened in the center of town. 

6:05 p.m., Dale Street. Caller reported a vehicle parked in the road making it a hazard, causing vehicles to get in the wrong lane in order to pass. Police said the car is okay at this time. 

8:45 p.m., Evergreen and Harding. Walk-in report from a woman who said she found a dog, Shepard mix, with no collar on; she dropped it off at the shelter. At 10:05 p.m., a man came into the station who said he lost his dog, a black Shepard mix; he was told the dog was at the shelter and to contact them tomorrow.

Wednesday, March 13

12:20 a.m., South and High Street. One citation issued.

6:29 a.m., Main Street. E911 caller from Medfield Commons reported a 25-year-old man having a seizure. Medfield Ambulance took him to Norwood. 

7:58 a.m., North Street. Westwood Police requested a stop and ID for a Green Ford F-150 for a hit and run. Last seen heading west on 109. Listed to a Walpole resident. The truck was not located.

1:37 p.m., Blacksmith Drive. Walk-in report from a man who found a driver's license. Woman was called to pick it up at the station.

2:44 p.m., Main Street. A walk-in report from a crossing guard at Robert Sproul who had a problem with a car. Police reported the car was registered to a Park Street resident. 

4:42 p.m., Pine Street. E911 caller reported a 13-year-old girl who had a seizure. Medfield Ambulance took her to Children's Hospital.

6:48 p.m., Pound Street. Police discovered suspicious activity at Tilden Village.

9:27 p.m., Wilkens Glen Road. Caller reported neighbors are being very loud; they would not answer their door when asked to be quiet. Police spoke with residents who said they would quiet down.

9:47 p.m., Philip Street. Caller reported he hears a noise in the pond in his backyard. He said he thinks it is an animal. Police and Fire were dispatched. Police report it was a deer and it made it onto land safely.
