Thursday, Jan. 9

7:09 a.m., Green Street and Flint Locke Lane. Caller reported a barking dog in the area.

9:33 a.m., Charlesdale Road. Resident reports she got a call from a woman claiming to be her niece and asking for $3,000. She knew it was a scam and hung up. She didn't get the phone number. 

10:43 a.m., Wild Holly Lane. Walk-in report of mischief. Resident said sometime overnight someone smashed half a dozen beer bottles in her driveway.

12:13 p.m., Wilkens Glen. School administrators asked for a well-being check on a student after the mother said she would bring her to school but did not. Officer said the child is safe and he will speak with the principal. 

1:19 p.m., Dale Street. Caller said there was a bird in the building. Police responded.

1:54 p.m., Dale Street. Caller reported a man walking through backyards carrying something green; he was driving a gray van. Police traced the license plate to a Millis address. Police said it was a couple looking for their lost cat. 

4:53 p.m., Pine Street. Walk-in report of strange noises in her house. Resident said she got home and could hear noises upstairs; it could be a mouse or a small animal but she's not sure. Police checked it out and said all was okay. 

4:16 p.m., Main and Brook Streets. Car accident involving a 2007 Toyota Corolla, 2002 Ford Expedition, and a 2008 Lexus 350.
