Cat with Bag on Head, Dog in Car, and More

Here's a look at the Medfield police log for Aug. 18 and Aug. 19. 

Sunday, August 18

12:40 a.m., North Street. Neighbor called about loud music in the area. At 12:41 a.m., the resident called back to say they just turned off the music.

8:01 a.m., 10:02 a.m., 12:08 p.m., Spring Street. Traffic control at St. Edward's Church.

8:18 a.m., Harding Street. Caller asked for the Animal Control Officer for a cat on her fence with a bag on its head. Animal Control responded but the cat was then high in a tree with the bag still on its head. If the cat comes down, they will call Animal Control again. 

8:33 a.m., Main Street. Traffic control at the United Church of Christ.

8:43 a.m., Main and Tubwreck Drive. Traffic enforcement; no citations issued.

2:18 p.m., Causeway Street. Caller reported speeding vehicles in the area. 

Monday, August 19

12:15 a.m., Deerfield Drive. Caller reported a disabled motor vehicle at North Street. Waiting for tow.

9:28 a.m., Main and Bridge Streets. Disabled motor vehicle. He ran out of gas.

10 a.m., Hearthstone Drive. Caller from Quincy asked someone to check on the carbon monoxide detectors at her mother's house because they are going off.

10:42 a.m., North Street. A man came into the station to talk to police about a Letter of Disinvite he received regarding a store on North Street. Police will speak to the business owners.

11:52 a.m., Dale Street. Caller asked for an ambulance because she had fallen when walking into her house. No transport needed.

12:18 p.m., Main Street. Caller reported a dog in a black Nissan with its windows down but it is too hot for the animal. Car was gone when Animal Control arrived.
