Car vs. Skateboarder, Man Passed Out at Liquor Store, and More

Here is a look at the Medfield safety logs for Oct. 29. 

Tuesday, Oct. 29

12:55 p.m., Causeway Street. Walk-in request for radar during rush hour. 

3:30 p.m., station. Someone turned in a black dog. Animal Control will pick up. A short time later, a North Street man claimed the dog.

3:39 p.m., Main Street. Caller said he was in a crash with a man on a skateboard in the CVS parking lot. The skateboarder was not injured and took off. There was minor damage to the vehicle. No report filed.

4:26 p.m., North Street. Walk-in report of a man in his 60s passed out in a purple car in the parking lot of a liquor store. Police checked on the man who was sleeping.

4:39 p.m., Millbrook Road. Caller said a man claiming to be a solicitor for AmVets has been at her house two times this week. She thought it was suspicious. He was wearing a pink long-sleeved shirt and driving a white compact car. 

4:51 p.m., Main and Spring Streets. Caller reported a car accident at the corner of Routes 109 and 27 between a 2008 Toyota Prius and a 2012 Toyota Camry. One woman complained of head pain and was taken to Norwood Hospital.

7:47 p.m., Stuart Street. Caller reported a suspicious man in the area. He was a tall white man with a grey beard, wearing a red jacket and a hat. Police said no physical altercation took place but "the subject was verbally trespassed from Miller Street at request of homeowner." 

8:15 p.m., High Street, Oriole Road, Forest Street. Several callers reported solicitors for Cleaner Water were going door to door. 

9:20 p.m., Spring Street. Caller reported suspicious activity at St. Edward's Church where a man had been standing outside the church next to the statue for about 10 minutes. The man was gone when police arrived.
