Break-In on Colonial Road, Someone in Vacant House, Wires on Fire, and More

Friday, Jan. 17

12:51 p.m., Colonial Road. Walk-in report from a man who said his house was broken into recently.

1:50 p.m., North Meadows Road. Walk-in report from a woman who saw someone on the cell tower at Sam White & Sons. She was concerned they are not workers. Police discovered it was a communication company working on the tower. 

3:41 p.m., North Meadows Road. Caller reported a suspicious vehicle. Police moved the car along. 

6:29 p.m., Rhododendron Avenue. Caller reported a car in the driveway and lights on in a house that should be vacant. Police discovered the man could be there and he would let the neighbors know he is back from college. 

8:40 p.m., Granite Street. E911 caller reported a tree branch burning on electrical wires. Medfield Fire responded. NSTAR arrived at 9:04 p.m. Clear at 9:30 p.m. 

11:02 p.m., Rocky Lane. Caller reported mischief in the area after someone rang her doorbell but there was no one there. Gone on arrival.
