3 Missing Boys, Beer Stolen from Porch, Fainting Teen, and More

Here's a look at the Medfield police log for August 5 and August 6. 

Monday, August 5

12:38 a.m., Causeway Street. Neighbor asked for a building check. Police say the house is secure. 

7:08 a.m., Pine Street. Caller said someone came onto his porch and stole a case of beer. He said they also went into his house but he doesn't know if anything was taken. Police spoke to the homeowner who said it could have been one of his son's friends. 

8:12 a.m., North Meadows Road. E911 caller asked for an ambulance for her friend who is not feeling well. Medfield Ambulance responded. 

8:41 a.m., North Street. Alarm company reported a burglar alarm activated. It was accidentally set off by an employee.

2:17 p.m., North Meadows Road. E911 caller asked for an ambulance for a 14 year old boy who just fainted. Medfield Ambulance took him to Norwood Hospital. 

5:18 p.m., Charlesdale Road. Report of credit card fraud.  

6:12 p.m., Causeway Street. Continued problem with a burglar alarm. Company will fix it. 

6:45 p.m., North Street. Caller requested that the Animal Control Officer remove a dead animal. 

6:47 p.m., Main Street. A restaurant alarm was accidentally tripped due to a defective heat sensor. 

9:22 p.m., Elm Street. Caller reported a cloud of smoke near Wheelock School. Fire Department said it was from neighboring Steven Lane.

Tuesday, August 6

6:02 a.m., Main Street. Caller reported someone sleeping in the park. Police were notified and the officer said he was sitting in the park having coffee.

9:29 a.m., Spring Street. E911 caller asked for an ambulance for a female who is running a high temperature. Patient was taken to Leonard Morse Hospital.

11:02 a.m., North Street. Rehoboth Police called to say they had just served a harassment order. 

11:57 a.m., Main Street. Caller requested an ambulance for a customer who just fell and may have hurt her hip. 

12:45 p.m., Hospital Road. A Medfield State Hospital security guard said that someone stole some materials from one of the buildings. 

1:29 p.m., Noon Hill Reservation. Woman called to say she was missing three young boys (one 6 year old, two 10 year olds) who walked off the trails. She called back 10 minutes later to say she found them. 

2:57 p.m., North Meadows Road. Caller reported an erratic driver driving a white Pontiac Bonneville (out of Brockton) going south on Route 27. Gone on arrival. Walpole Police were notified. 

7:29 p.m., South Street. Caller complained about contractor noise in the neighborhood. Police said they are now done for the night.
