Arrest, Man Posing as Police Officer, Dead Cat, Infant Covered with Windshield Glass, Drugs at Tilden Village, and More

Here's a look at the Medfield safety logs for Oct. 20 and Oct. 21. 

Sunday, Oct. 20

2:51 a.m., Main Street. E911 caller said she was approached in her driveway by a man driving a white car carrying a flashlight. He knocked on the window of her car and was acting like a police officer. He was asking her questions regarding drinking and driving. Police checked the area for the man. 

8:11 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 12:14 p.m., Spring Street. Traffic control at St. Edward's Church.

9:14 a.m., Main Street. Traffic control at the United Church of Christ. 

10:17 a.m., station. Walk-in report of damage to a sign at the Wheelock soccer fields. 

2:06 p.m., Bow Street. Caller said someone just called him about his brother being in an accident and asking for money. Police have warned about this scam. 

6:45 p.m., Pound Street. Caller reported the alarm went off at the Tilden Village Community Center and was then reset. Police said they found evidence of drug use inside the building. 

6:52 p.m., Route 27. Received a call from Sherborn Police about an elderly couple that might have hit an animal. Sherborn didn't find anything; either did Medfield. 

8:54 p.m., Pine Street. Three callers reported a dead cat near 13 Pine Street. 

Monday, Oct. 21

7:05 a.m., Main Street. Caller reported a problem at the message board at Town Hall after someone placed a "vote yes" sign on it. Police removed it. 

8:03 a.m., South Street. Caller reported a truck driving in front of him that hit tree limbs which snapped back and hit his front window and smashed it; now his infant son in the back seat has glass all over him. The truck did not stop. The phone call was lost, the man called back on the E911 line and said he was now in Walpole. Walpole Police responded. 

8:15 a.m., Adams Street. E911 caller said someone fell outside the school. Ambulance responded but no transport needed.

9:04 a.m., Spring Street. E911 caller reported a car accident between a 2013 GMC Yukon Denali and a 2011 Toyota Tundra. 

1:33 p.m., Main Street. E911 caller said a Mack truck damaged some signs in the center of town. Police said it was a yield sign on Route 27. Gone on arrival.

1:54 p.m., station. A walk-in report from an Upham Road resident who said a co-worker stole some checks from him.

5:50 p.m., Wilkins Glen. Caller said her apartment was full of gas. Medfield Fire responded and said nothing was found.

6:15 p.m., Lilac Lane. Walk-in report of letters containing threats. 

8 p.m., Spring Street. Police stopped a Blue 2006 GMC Sierra pickup and are now seeking a summons for a 52-year-old Granite Street woman for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle, and uninsured motor vehicle.
