An article By Jerry Markon and Alice Crites appeared May 30th in the Washington Post, criticized Presidential candidate Romney for his handling of judicial appointments.
After revamping the process by which nominees were selected for consideration by the Governor’s Council, Romney sought to take over the process presenting several nominees from within his own cabinet, according to the article.
Although the article correctly criticized the actions of former Governor Romney, it also implies that these problems vanished with Governor Patrick.
Unfortunately Governor Patrick, adopted his predecessors flawed processes rather than review and improve them.
Governor Patrick should take the time to review this flawed process and create a process that is open, transparent, and accountable, as it was initially intended.
