2.  Mother/Daughter Book Club

Where/When: Medfield Public Library activity room, Saturday, Aug. 18, 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Why Go:  Different generations share the same book but perhaps a different reading experience

3.  , 21st Annual Car Show

Where/When: Cracker Barrel Fairgrounds, Wrentham, Saturday, Aug. 18, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Why Go:  Two local bands, Fat Cat Blue and The Throwdown Band will provide continuous entertainment with FM 101 Cruisn' Bruce Palmer providing the D.J. duties during breaks.  Sponsored by the Central AutoGroup, Norfolk Power Equipment, and Sacchetti Insurance.

4. Peak House Summer Sundays

 Where/When:  Peak House, 345 Main Street; summer Sundays, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: Step back into Colonial Medfield to learn about the town and the Peak House’s early history. Colonial artifacts on display.

5.   featuring “Heads Up” and “Split Risk”

Where/When: , 2 Patriot Pl, Foxborough, MA, Sunday, Aug. 19, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Why Go: Patriot Place is presenting some amazing talent this year to bring music to the plaza while you shop, dine and enjoy. Local talent is given the stage and will be showcasing the music you know and love. This week features the music of piano-based rock quartet City of Squares (formerly The Briar Rose) combines the ferocity of powerhouses such as Bruce Springsteen and Michael Jackson with the sophisticated sensibility of poets like Sarah McLachlan and Damien Rice. Built upon a crooked tower of blues and soul, their distinctive brand of modern rock comes complete with edgy riffs, sultry undertones, danceable grooves and attitude to spare.  Presenting sponsor is Patch.com
