Visions for Vacancies: Former Coldwell Banker Building

What would you like to see occupy the former Coldwell Banker building?

Earlier this year, Coldwell Banker shuttered its Medfield office and moved that staff to its Westwood location.

Since that time, the building at 504 Main Street has remained vacant.  Jim James of Park Street Books on the building as the possible new home for New England's largest bookstore, but it was rejected in June.

What sort of business would you like to see in this space? Tell us in the comment section below.

Is there a commercial vacancy you'd like to discuss? If so, be sure to email editor Theresa Knapp (theresa.knapp@patch.com) and maybe it will be featured in our next Visions for Vacancies.

Since I grew up in there, I like to think of 504 Main as the old homestead! It housed my parents' real estate company, Dr. Sullivan's office, Robert E. Larkin's law office, a CPA firm, and several other small firms in the 70s and 80s. I am sure that it will be a great location for many types of businesses - but I will always think of it as home! I would love to see a book store - perhaps Park Street books and the owners can renegotiate?
