Saturday 3/8, Tour of Medfield State Hospital

A tour of the former Medfield State Hospital grounds and buildings, led by John Thompson, who has worked extensively on the environmental issues surrounding the hospital, Bill Massaro, who has played a lead role in working with the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in reaching a settlement with the town for possible purchase and Richard DeSorgher, town historian will take place on Saturday, March 8 from 11 AM-1 PM.

If you have not toured the hospital property before, this will be an excellent chance to get a layout of the land and buildings, history of the hospital, look at the environmental work that has been done and have any questions answered you may have about the hospital.

Parking is available at the sledding hill area and the meeting point will be at 11AM in front of the security trailer off Hospital Road. This will be the last chance for citizens to have an organized tour of the former hospital campus before the March 10 Special Town Meeting.
