POLL: Is it a good thing that Dunkin' Donuts is one step closer to moving into the former Friendly's building?

Plans to convert the former Friendly's building to a Dunkin' Donuts are one step closer after the ZBA approved the coffee chain's application on Thursday night.

Plans to convert the former Friendly's building at the corner of Routes 109 and 27 (563 Main Street) into a Dunkin' Donuts got one step closer to reality on Thursday night when the Board of Appeals on Zoning approved the application filed by Michael Cavallo.

Cataldo also owns the other Dunkin' Donuts store in town one mile east at 270 Main Street.  He told the ZBA during the hearing process that he will keep both shops open.
