Letter: Athanasiadis Thanks Residents for Support at Town Election

Medfield resident Nick Athanasiadis writes in to thank the 590 Medfield residents who voted for him for selectman at the annual Town Election. Athanasiadis was defeated by selectman Osler "Pete" Peterson, 701-590.

To my fellow Medfield citizens,

Please accept a warm, heartfelt thank you for supporting me in the recent election for Medfield selectman. Although I fell short of my final goal, campaigning was an amazing experience that I won’t soon forget.

590 citizens supported my candidacy and to those supporters I say thank you. My supporters recognize the need for a board that can achieve results – and I hope the election results will be a wake-up call to my opponent. Medfield has some important issues to tackle in the near future and by working together, the selectmen can produce the best results for our town.

It was a pleasure meeting with so many of Medfield’s residents and the town’s department heads. Your commitment to Medfield and the community makes me proud to say I am a resident of Medfield.

Sincerely,
