Montrose School Remembers Elizabeth Mary Clare Schickel

Elizabeth Mary Clare Schickel, 15, died this week after a battle with brain cancer.

Administrators and students of the Montrose School in Medfield said goodbye to one of their own this week.

Elizabeth Mary Clare Schickel, 15, a student at the school, died of brain cancer on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at her home, surrounded and embraced by her parents, sisters and brother, according to an obituary posted to the Montrose School's Facbeook page

"Our very own Elizabeth Mary Schickel was called home to God this morning surrounded by her loving family," the school wrote on its Facbeook page. "With you, O Lord, is the fountain of life, and in your light we see light. Psalm 36(35):10."

Visiting hours for Schickel will be held at St. Patrick's Church, 44 E. Central St. in Natick on Monday, Feb. 17 from 3-7 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Patrick's Church on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Natick, with a luncheon to follow at 2 p.m. at the Montrose School in Medfield.
