Mary Carey Leaves Grandson in Medfield

Mary Carey had retired from Boston College. She leaves a large family in the area, including a grandson in Medfield.

Mary E. (McKenney) Carey of Dedham, died on Oct. 23. Beloved wife of the late Leo F. Carey. Devoted mother of Elizabeth A. Hayes and her husband William of Needham and Michael J. Carey and his wife Janet of Dedham.

Loving grandmother of Kathryn Tauro of Dedham, Molly Hayes of Needham, Andrew Hayes of New York City, Michael Carey of Medfield, John Carey of Westwood and Christopher Carey of Norfolk. Great-grandmother of Ryan, Benjamin, Callan and MacKenzie.

Sister of the late Catherine Pembroke and William, Rose and Arthur McKenney. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, Saturday, Oct. 27, at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Dedham at 9am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-8pm. Interment Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.

Late retired employee of Boston College. Member of the St. Mary Church Sodality. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Mary's memory to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, 55 Anna's Place, Dedham, MA 02026.
