A Little Help from our Friends

The Friends of the Medfield Library was founded in the 1970s to stimulate broader community interest in library resources and encourage participation in library activities.  The Friends is a member driven organization that primarily supports library programs and initiatives.  Your membership dues will help the Friends achieve this year’s goals which include providing financial support for Children’s, Teens and Adult programs and events, museum passes, self-checkout stations on the upper and lower levels of the library and the creative writing awards.  Please consider becoming a Friend or renewing your membership.  The 2014 membership year begins in January.

The library has always offered numerous, engaging children’s programs focused on early childhood and family literacy.  More recently, the library has made a deep commitment to ‘tweens and teens to support their academic pursuits, development of vocational skills development, and access to local social and recreational activities. Also, the library is working to provide Medfield’s adults stimulating cultural programs in technology, literature, poetry and music.
