Tap and Jazz found a great home earlier this month, but were regretfully returned when their new owner realized he was allergic to them.
They are a gorgeous bonded pair of blue parakeets. These 2 birds love to have company and activity in their surroundings; the busier it gets at the shelter the more they sing and chatter. Once a month we have a low cost spay clinic for cats, and at a recent clinic when they shared the lobby with 30 cats and many owners and volunteers coming and going, they were the happiest we've ever seen them. Parakeets are social animals that enjoy spending time outside of their cages. Hand tamed parakeets can be trained to do tricks or sit on your shoulder. Our parakeet adoption fee is $25, which includes their cage and a small supply of food for them.
