Meet Yogi: Medfield Animal Shelter's Featured Pet

Every week the Medfield Shelter features one of our adoptable pets. This week's pet is Yogi, a young German Shepherd mix.

Meet Yogi

Handsome Yogi is approximately 1 1/2 years old.  He was found one year ago as a stray in a town about 45 minutes from Medfield, and spent the last year in a kennel with no hope of being adopted.  He has come to us to find a much better life. He is a very big dog and and is gorgeous. He is very sweet but right now he is scared of many things at the Shelter including the floors, his bed, and collars and leashes.  He was not walked at all during his year at the kennel and has had no vet care.  Of course, all that will change and he will soon be neutered, vaccinated and put on flea and heartworm preventative.  He is gentle but afraid right now. Since he couldn't get out of his kennel to go to the bathroom, he will also need housebreaking training. We are thrilled to have this nice dog and intend to introduce him to all the things that make life as a loved family dog so great. If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application or come by the Shelter on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to meet him.
