Medfield Animal Shelter Featured Pet for October 9th

Every week the Medfield Animal Shelter features a pet available for adoption. This week it is Jazz, a fun-loving Border Collie/Lab mix.

Meet Jazz

Jazz was also affectionately known as Spazz by her owner because she was so wild and silly when she adopted her from the Medfield Animal Shelter 7 years ago. She's a Border Collie/Lab mix and all she wanted to do when she was younger was run and play and jump and herd. Now at 9 years young she still does all of this but in a more dignified manner due to all the love she has been showered with by her owner. Sadly, her owner moved into senior housing that does not allow pets and that forced her to have to give Jazz up.  We found a great home for her, but the herding instinct came out in her around crowds of young kids, and so the family regretfully returned her. She was great with their 11 and 14 year olds and loved to go for walks and play games with them.

Jazz is in great shape and loves go for leash walks and play with toys.  She's also happy to calmly ride in the car or hang out in the house. She is up-to-date on her vaccines and is on heartworm preventative. She must be kept on leash during walks, or the Border Collie in her will send her off in search of an adventure.
