We also have added some new activities, including sport classes with John Smith, and continued morning and afternoon Kindergarten program available on Monday and Wednesday with Valerie Velardo and Ana Conneely.  Mark your calendars with the following events:

Annual Children’s Clothing & Baby Equipment Sale on April 12, 2014.

You will find high quality pre-owned items at rock bottom prices!  Medfield residents may purchase tags to sell your items at the Pfaff Community Center, 124 North Street.  Anyone and everyone may purchase items on April 12, 2014 from 8:30AM to 1:30PM, half price sale begins at noon.  Everything from infant to children’s clothes (infant to size 12) and baby equipment of all types including high chairs, jumpers, furniture, cribs, bikes and more.  Medfield residents may contact Jim Snyder to volunteer Friday and Saturday and get your first pick at sale items.

Kindergarten Fun Club

Have a child entering Kindergarten this fall? Looking for some engaging activities for them to do in the morning or afternoon as an extension to their Memorial School experience?  Valerie Velardo and Ana Conneely will be leading morning and afternoon sessions of the Kindergarten Fun Club.  Classes are being offered on Mondays and Wednesdays, register by the session; or the one-day-a-week option!

John Smith Sport Classes

Back again this winter, these popular classes are always sure to fill up fast, so don’t delay! We will be offering Multi Sport, Basketball, Floor Hockey, and Soccer classes in the morning and afternoon.  Introduce your youngster (ages2-5) to a multitude of sports taught by the professionals at John Smith Sports.

Get dramatic with Drama Kids of Metrowest!

Drama Kids trained teachers motivate and inspire the students to become articulate communicators through enthusiastic participation in a wide range of creative activities including speech, creative movement, improvisation, and a special year-end performance.

Adult Fitness classes

Something for every fitness level!  Back again are the popular Body Sculpting, Zumba, Light Hike and Step Classes.

Kids Night Out

Friday night done right!  Have your kids spend their Friday with friends at the Pfaff Center.  Royal Pizza and dessert will be served as they watch a movie.  All movies are age appropriate for children grades K through 6.  We will be showing movies on a monthly basis.  On 2/28/14 we will be showing Toy Story III on the big screen from 5:30PM to 8:00PM.

NEW PROGRAM - Newbie Mammas Group

Congratulations on your new arrival! Along with the feelings of joy and excitement you also might be experiencing some struggles or doubts or at the very least be asking, "Now what?”  Motherhood is a very special time of joy but also comes with a set of new challenges and questions.  Join the Newbie Mamas Group to connect with other local mothers and receive guidance during this time of transition. Each session provides opportunities for mothers to ask relevant questions, share tips and ideas and receive support and guidance by former Isis Parenting instructor and Early Parenting coach, Nicole Lewis. The four week session will include discussions around emotional transitions into motherhood, newborn sleep and feeding, work/life juggling and relationship changes.

Please check our Web site ( www.medfieldrec.com ) for full details on all the classes we will be offering. While not discussed here, those include our popular Cooking class, Learn to Skate, Karate, Icky Sticky Goo, Fencing, Drama and CrossFit for Kids, sports, and more.

Interested in a program and don’t see it on the Web site?  Contact us at (508) 359-2715. Check our web site as we regularly add programs to our offerings throughout the session.

Do you have a special interest, skill or talent that you could teach to the community?  Need a few bucks to pay for those amazing presents?  Contact Jim Snyder or Kayode Lewis to talk about a class you could offer to the community.  Earn some money and have fun with Parks & Recreation.

So login to your account and register today!

Lastly, summer is just around the corner and we have most of our camp information on-line.  Let your children have fun with our staff playing games, doing arts and crafts, going on trips and most importantly, making friends.  Stay tuned for our complete summer schedule.

Best,
