Do You Have Orange Tinted Feet?

Do you have orange tinted feet? It can be toxin build up!

I had a young client, age six that came  to see me last week for reflexology, because he has a pesky cough that just won’t go away. At this point the coughing was annoying his parents and they wanted to do something about it.

Of course I wanted to know if he had a cold recently. He said “no.” It was one of those coughs for which he has had for a while; and even though it wasn’t bothering him, his mother wants it to stop. She thinks his lungs or sinuses are irritated; or he has chronic post nasal drip.

I asked him if his nose was dripping. He said, “Sometimes.” I proceeded to look at his not-so- little feet. The first thing I noticed that both feet were slightly orange in color. Yes, everyone’s skin color is different. I have seen skin color ranging from very pale to mahogany brown. The next question that I asked him if he was having daily bowel movement, or in kid’s language “are you pooping every day?” (Kids love bathroom talk.) He said “not every day.” I was amazed that a six year old could keep track of his bowel movements.

Just about every person who comes in that has orange tinted feet alerts me that toxins are building in the body and they do not have regular bowel movements every day and the toxins are building in the body. In some cases, re-absorbing into the body and who wants that? I have clients who have orange tinted feet take the spice supplement, turmeric. It is believed that turmeric has powerful anti-inflammatory and anti oxidant properties.

I got my young client onto my healing table. I made it very comfortable for him by fluffing up the pillow and turning on the heating pad to warm his back. I played some smoothing music for him. No, I didn’t sing to him.

I proceeded to work on my young client’s feet. Usually a six year can lie still for a reflexology treatment for approximately 20 minutes. I knew I had to work fast. To distract him and to keep him from jumping off the table, we talked about the last birthday that he went to and what he did.  With my magic fingers, I proceeded to work on his sinuses, respiratory, stomach, liver, spleen, kidney, large and small intestines reflex points on both his feet. Wherever I was pressing on his feet I told him what organs I was touching. He thought it was funny.

After 20 minutes, he jumped off the table (almost flew off.) He was on his way; and he will return next week for another reflexology session. He gave me a hug. I like hugs from children. It brings back memories of me hugging my sons when they were younger.
