Recycling and Holiday Shopping Could Help Restore the Lowell Mason House

These programs raise money for the Lowell Mason Foundation.

This year, your on-line holiday shopping can help raise much-needed money for the restoration of the Lowell Mason House.

The historic house is the birthplace of Lowell Mason, known as the father of music in public education, was to Green Street from Adams Street in 2011. Now the Lowell Mason Foundation is seeking creative ways to raise money for the property's restoration.

Holiday Shopping

This year, as you start to shop on-line, go to www.lowellmasonhouse.org and click on the Amazon link. The Lowell Mason House will receive a portion of every dollar you spend on-line with no additional cost to you.

Also, if you're looking for a great local gift, consider the Lowell Mason Discount Card which supports grants discounts to local merchants and also supports the Lowell Mason House. Or, if you have a great music lover on your holiday list, consider a copy of the Lowell Mason poster which is available for $15 at www.lowellmasonfoundation.org

Recycling

Another way to help restore the property at 59 Green Street is to donate old ink and toner cartridges, cell phones, and i-Pods that are then recycled. They are kept out of landfills and help raise money for the Lowell Mason Foundation. There are collection containers at the Town Hall and the Medfield Library.
