Medfield Lions and Basil's Restaurant Team Up for Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast

The Medfield Lions Club will offer local children the opportunity to say Happy Mothers Day in a special way on Sunday, May 8th at the American Legion Hall with a Pancake Breakfast. The breakfast will start at 8 a.m. and  end at noon.

The Medfield Lions is sponsoring the breakfast with all the trimmings and Basil’s Restaurant will cater a breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausages, bacon, home fries, and coffee, tea, and juice. The Lions will provide carnations to each mother.

Tickets for the breakfast are $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12 and may be purchased at the door.

The breakfast promises to be a special event for the Medfield community and as with every Lions’ fundraiser, the proceeds from the pancake breakfast goes to local charities. The event proceeds are underwritten by local businesses that purchase advertising on the table placemats used at the breakfast. Some of the programs supported by Medfield Lions’ fundraisers include: Medfield Home Committee, Food Cupboard, scholarships for local high school graduates, Medfield Animal Shelter, local events for senior citizens, and the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund.

Celebrating its 67th  anniversary, the Medfield Lions Club is a member of the world's largest service club organization with nearly 1.4 million men and women in 190 countries who volunteer their time and energy to serve their communities, and lead the effort to prevent and reverse blindness.
