The Medfield School Committee is hosting a welcoming reception for the new Superintendent, Dr. Jeff Marsden from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7.
The reception will give residents and business owners a chance to say hello and meet the new leader of the public schools. Light refreshments will be available.
Dr. Marsden joined the Medfield school system on July 1. He most recently was superintendent of the Wrentham Public Schools.
He also has served as an adjunct professor at Boston College and as director of academics and accountability for the Douglas Public Schools.
He earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Boston College.
