Steve Marchena: Guitar Concert
Steve Marchena, whose guitar artistry ranges from classical to contemporary, will perform at the Medfield Public Library on Sunday, January 12, at 3:00 p.m. Admission is free.
His concert will include pieces by composers as diverse as Bach, bluesman Robert Johnson, and the Beatles. With an extensive knowledge of music, Marchena will also share anecdotes about the repertory he’s selected.
A prolific recording and touring artist in North America and Europe, Marchena won the Northeast Finals of Guitarmageddon and has performed on more than 30 CDs.

More than a decade ago, he formed The Back Bay Guitar Trio and has performed as part of WCRB’s classical concert series at the Boston Hatch Shell and throughout New England.
Marchena is currently Guitar Instructor-In-Residence at Bentley University in Waltham,MA.
