Join us to
explore the transformative healing powers of sound. You will both
co-create and receive sound healing, and learn how to improvise music
with a healing intention.

>>Tom and Debbie Maynard
are sound healers specializing in circle-based sessions. They have been
participating in and leading sound healing circles since 2005.
>>
>>Sound
healing circles are improvisational soundings where the members of the
circle hold a healing intention for one or more people lying in the
center of the circle. These circles can be subtle or very energetic,
dissonant or beautifully harmonic. They are participatory sessions, each
usually around 20 minutes long; 5 or more sessions in an evening are
easily accommodated. Circles combine group sounding using drums,
rattles, bells and bowls, as well as other instruments, with voice and
hands-on healing. After the people who are in the center express their
healing intention, the group responds by beginning to sound, and if
participants ask for it, providing Reiki or other energy work*, relying
on deep listening to determine what is called for in service of the
stated intention.

sounding, and facilitate the sessions, as well as provide instruments
for the circle. If participants have instruments they want to bring with
them, that is welcomed, but bringing an instrument it is not required.
