Grace Qian and Anna Dushanin performed in the Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall, New York City, on December 15, 2013 after winning in the 10th Annual Russian Music Competition. Grace played “Valse Op. 10 #2“ by C. Rachmaninov and Anna played “Toccata“ by A. Khachaturian.
This annual competition, organized by the Talented Young
Musicians Association of New Jersey and Boston, seeks to promote young
musicians by encouraging and supporting their talent, ability and performance
techniques. About 200 young performers
participate in this annual competition.
Both pianists are students of Nataliya Tkachenko at Allegretto
Piano Studio in Medfield, Mass. Ms. Nataliya Tkachenko has been teaching piano
for over 25 years, covering all chronological periods of classical and contemporary
music.
