Kingsbury Grist Mill Tours, Celebration

After being gone for nearly 100 years, the water wheel was installed in May with the help of wheelwright Spencer Boyd (based outside Atlanta, Georgia), who constructed and installed the wheel.

The public is invited to watch the wheel in motion, have a tour of the site, hear a history of Medfield mills from Town Historian Richard DeSorgher, enjoy music from the band Route 109 (a band member, Andy Spencer, is on the Grist Mill Committee), and also have some light refreshments and beverages.

There will also be a children's fishing derby, the first annual "Grist Mill Classic," and visitors are invited to toss coins into the "wishing wheel."

Parking is very limited on the site so visitors are asked to park at St. Edward's Church. A mini-bus will shuttle people back and forth to the site from that lot.
