Selectman Mark Fisher to Run for Re-Election

Fisher, an 11th generation of the Clark family to live in Medfield, said he has some unfinished business to complete.

Selectman Mark Fisher will run for re-election in the spring.

Fisher said he and his family gave a lot of thought to whether to run for another three-year term because "it is a tremendous time commitment, and not something to be taken lightly."

"I feel that I have some 'unfinished business' that I would like to follow through on and see to a conclusion," said Fisher, who was first elected to the board in 2008.

"For one, we have been making great progress lately on the re-development of the state hospital property. I would like to see this process through to its conclusion with the development of a plan that the town feels comfortable with. Also, the Permanent Building Committee has been working hard at putting together plans for a new public safety building. I want to see this project come to fruition."

Fisher is an 11th generation of the Clark family to live in town. Joseph Clark was one of the 13 original settlers of Medfield.

The election will take place in March.
